My self-summary
I'm Chinese-Canadian, with an emphasis on the latter. Born and raised here in Canada.

I love anything and everything to do with stories. Big into movies (went to York U for film production), like to read up on the world and people's life stories, and just have a general interest in humanity/morality.

While I haven't been very many places or experienced a whole lot, I would very much like to get out and explore the world! Machu Picchu is probably the number one place I want to go.

Currently in an open relationship, love my man (who I met on OKCupid almost three years ago) but open to exploring :D.
What I’m doing with my life
I make training videos and some mini-documentaries for the government right now. Not sure if this is the job I want to stick with or not, but I'd like to do some editing on short films or documentaries on the side.

I'd also like to get out there and experience as much of the world as possible.
I’m really good at
over thinking things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a bit quiet until I get some drink in me :) and then the words start flowing heh. But if I get to know you well, I can ramble on. If it's about movies, I can talk all day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: I'll watch pretty much everything but Dazed and Confused is my favourite movie because it just feels like hanging out with some of your best friends for a few hours. Also a big fan of Motorcycle Diaries, The 400 Blows, Mysterious Skin, Enter the Void, Under the Skin, Thin Red Line, Pierrot le Fou, JFK, House, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Incendies, Force Majeure, and My Neighbour Totoro, to name a very slight few. I especially dig coming-of-age stuff, road trip movies, weird/pulpy/cult films, and movies that play around with dreams/reality. For pure fun, there's The Mighty Ducks, Commando, Con Air, and other awesome cheesy movies.

TV: Rick and Morty, Lost, South Park, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Carnivale, Flight of the Conchords, 24, Entourage, Alias, Arrested Development, Friday Night Lights, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Community, House of Cards, Portlandia, Rick and Morty, Orange is the New Black, Bojack Horseman, Looking

Music: Arcade Fire, Jamie xx, Frank Ocean, Elliott Smith, Bon Iver, Explosions in the Sky, Boards of Canada, Oasis, The Hold Steady, Kanye West, TV on the Radio, Drive-by Truckers, Justice, M83, Foals, Flume, Daft Punk, etc. Like all kinds (although I'm never up-to-date with current popular music) but lately been getting more into older stuff like Motown and classic rock.

Books: I read a lot more in-depth journalism (aka any fascinating real life stories, investigations or insight into society) than books nowadays. If it's been linked on www.givemesomethingtoread.com in the last year or two, chances are I've probably read it. I've been trying to get back into longer stuff though. Some favourite books/series - Requiem for a Dream, His Dark Materials, The Big Short, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Black Dahlia, A Short History of Progress.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
morality, who we are as a species, anything regarding the mysteries of the universe
dreams/reality/memories
movies and themes
social issues
On a typical Friday night I am
at home hanging out with a friend, watching some movies or playing some games, or gone out with some friends to a pub for a few beers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
wouldn't be private then, would it?

you want to chat or want to meet up!
