My self-summary
"The simplest questions are the most profound.
Where were you born?
Where is your home?
Where are you going?
What are you doing?
Think about these once in awhile, and watch your answers change."
-Richard Bach "Illusions, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"

I got out of the Navy recently after being a Electronics Technician (Nuclear) for 6 years and returned to Huntsville to go back to school and finish my degree. I love hanging out with friends, going to movies, having a drink or two, or just relaxing. I just try to make the most out of whatever I am doing. I'm pretty laid back, shy at first but once I get to know people I'll make an idiot out of myself because it's fun.

Now I'm back in school trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with my life. I've always enjoyed learning, but once I learn enough about something I get bored or disinterested. If it's not a challenge it's not fun and it's something I have to overcome if I'm going to make it through school. On my way to being a Jack Of All Trades Master Of None Sort Of Deal whether I like it or not.

Favorite philosopher is one who may not of ever really been a philosopher (so if you know anything about philosophy you'll know I mean Socrates). Why? Because I just find it funny to read about Socrates, because really he was just an ass to a lot of people (which is probably what got him killed... he was not one to make friends).

Why do I like Civil Engineering? I want to get in to Environmental Engineering. I don't know why exactly, I just like the idea of it. Maybe I will suck at it, maybe I won't. So far I'm enjoying what I'm learning, and it's not Nuclear Engineering (which the Navy taught me that I don't want to do).

Some more stuff: I wish that I took more pictures but I have lost the last 3 cameras I have had for various reasons (the ocean claimed 2 of them...). I'm actually typing this up on my macbook pro right now. :) I just got a mac about 8 months ago and I'm still learning how to use it but I love it so far. I used to be a huge bowling freak and I'm actually trying to get back into it. My best score when I was younger was a 277, but I'm far from being that good anymore. Maybe with some practice I will get there though. I love playing any sport really though, even if I have never played it before. I'm taking up tennis with a friend now that I'm back on dry land. I love to talk and joke around and I'm a goofball by nature.
What I’m doing with my life
Going to school again to finish a degree in Civil Engineering and Philosophy (yes I know that those are two completely unrelated fields... but I like them both).

I just started going back to school this Fall on the government's dime... Gotta get something out of my 6 years in the service that I'll never get back. Heh. I had a lot of good times though... and some not so good times...

Also currently working as a Genius at Apple (yes that's my job title...).

Recently I've been taking lessons for swing dancing and am hoping to branch out and learn some ballroom dancing too.
I’m really good at
Bowling, Making people laugh and being goofy, staying up way too late for no apparent reason, being distracted by the internet, killing a conversation (awkward...)
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know really... Never really thought about it... Maybe my smile, or my goofy personality.
