I love music of all kinds. Old funk and soul seems to hit a sweet spot, from the big names like James Brown to more obscure bands. There are also a number of local bands in this genre that I enjoy.
Jazz is also a big obsession, from which I take a lot of musical inspiration. I mostly enjoy 1950's and 60's small groups lead by, for instance, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. But I appreciate all eras in this genre.
Who doesn't like food? Lately I have been really into seafood: shrimp, oysters, tuna, scallops, hmmmm. Sorry ocean life. You taste too good. As far as broad categories, I like Japanese, Thai, Indian, and Italian. A plate of small tacos also hits the spot.
Though I'm gonna be out of luck when the reed breaks.
