My self-summary
I'm opinionated. I'm easy going. I commit intensely to things I think are important in my life.

Having been raised a dyed-in-the-wool sarcastic I think you'll find humor is a huge part of my personality, for better or worse. I have way too many inside jokes with friends to count, and will always serve up a healthy serving of wiseass. I'm one of those people who can recite lines from movies or shows I've seen once. It's a gift and a curse.

I'm a sci-fi nerd, well a nerd about most things. I sort of define it as someone who delves all the way into the details with the things they're passionate about. I like that about myself. Most people would say it's my collection of Star Wars LEGO that makes me a nerd, but I disagree.

Over the past few years I feel like I've taken the biggest steps forward in terms of finding myself socially and personally - that included my first long term relationship. I haven't really been dating much since then, but I'm by no means giving up on the idea.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a customer service manager at a local company and also a photographer and filmmaker. I would like to do more of one and less of the other; I'll let you guess which.

I've also been making somewhat shaky attempts at getting healthier - I'm pretty out of shape and a bit overweight for no good reason I can think of, and turning that around is on my priority list. Turns out old habits die hard.
I’m really good at
...a lot of things. Being a "jack-of-all-trades" is, according to my Grandmother, a genetic gift our family historically shares. If I come across something I don't know how to do I feel instinctively challenged to learn it. As a result I have a large collection of seemingly random skills, although being a jack of all trades means being a master of a select few.

...second-guessing myself. Over-thinking things in general.

...taking care of people. I like entertaining and making people feel like a part of the crowd (as long as I do).
The first things people usually notice about me
Well I'm six and a half feet tall. I'll give you two guesses.

The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
- a camera
- the ocean (pacific)
- whiskey
- delis (where would I buy sandwiches? did I mention I love sandwiches?)
- my computer (a tool for work, play, creating, learning)
- if you believe the Scientologists, my thetans.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...when I'm finally going to feel like my real life has begun.

...what I'd rather be doing at 1pm on a Tuesday, or any weekday for that matter.

...what it's going to be like in 40 years when all of us have grandkids who can look up all the dumb shit we said on The Internet.
On a typical Friday night I am
grabbing drinks with friends, pew pewing spaceships on my computer, letting go of the weeks frustrations.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is not safe for internet admitting.
You should message me if
I seem like someone you could spend time with, maybe share some of yourself with.
