My self-summary
I guess you could call me sort-of a "retro" girl...I’d happily give up my cell for a cool rotary phone any day! I truly enjoy the simple things in life: being outside, leafing through a book, hearing waves crash, being near family. I enjoy art and being creative in my free time (I was an apparel design major in college), and like to sew and make my own clothes. I adore traveling and exploring new places, even if they are close by. There's a good chance you might find me wandering around antiques shops and historic districts! I would definitely say that my spirituality is very important to me, and although evolving, has been a constant throughout my life.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I'm working for a historical society in the museum collections department, and I am starting to look into options for further study in the field of historic preservation. Basically, I love interpreting and working with objects from the past. So...if your career involves bulldozing historic buildings to make way for sub-developments, we might not be a good match!:)
I’m really good at
Sewing, building sand castles, writing, photography
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
One of my favorite childhood books was The Phantom Tollbooth. I enjoyed Downton Abbey, and am currently following Mad Men. I also find myself watching lots of reruns...anything from the Dick Van Dyke Show to I Dream of Jeannie. One of my favorite movies is Rear Window. I LOVE music from the 1960s, specifically British Invasion (Kinks, Stones, Beatles, & etc.)!!! One of my favorite snacks is pink lemonade with cheddar cheese & crackers.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Spirituality, preserving historic buildings, the summer
On a typical Friday night I am
Going out to dinner/theater in Providence
