My self-summary
I'm a creative artist, a computer scientist, and a business minded entrepreneur all mashed into one. I have a degree in music composition, but have spent 9 years working in the Information Technology field. I recently left my IT job to pursue my own business ventures while building some new skills in the process.

So why am I here? I'm looking to meet cool new people and see what happens. I'm also an incredibly driven individual and admittedly somewhat of a workaholic, so meeting others online can be convenient at times.

That said, even if I wasn't busy, the opportunity to meet new people you may never encounter in day to day life fascinates me. Life before the internet was a very different thing.

I've decided to stop living the safe, stable, and boring life I was living before. The most successful people in history didn't allow society to hold them back. I've seen far too many people give up on their hopes and dreams only to try to pass them along to their children. I'm not that type of person.

I often have lofty goals, but why bother otherwise?

I love good stories, because without them the world would be a pretty dull place. I like nature and the outdoors and would generally be more happy if winter didn't exist....though snow is cool on occasion.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm constantly learning and working to pursue a location independent career via the internet. I want to travel the country/world without the deadline of returning from vacation. I'm an incredibly hard working and driven individual, but I've lost interest in being employed by anybody other than myself.

My pursuits include:
-3d modeling and sculpting for animation (think Pixar)
-Creating online training courses for Information Technology
-Learning software development
-Photography (specifically to create HDR environments)
-Building electric guitars
-Writing/recording music
-Writing stories
-Drinking craft beer
-Exploring the world
I’m really good at
The process of taking something from an abstract idea that exists only in your mind and turning it into a tangible piece of reality, is something that never ceases to amaze me. I'm not so sure I'm "really good at" it, but that's what I'm working toward.

Chances are I'm more than capable of fixing your computer problems though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I have a library of non-fiction books on digital art, storytelling, business development, philosophy, and computer programming. I tend to get my fiction fix from other mediums.

Movies: Memento (pretty much everything Christopher Nolan is involved with). Radio, The Matrix, Seven Pounds, Ratatouille (everything Pixar).

TV: LOST, Supernatural, The Mentalist, Paranormal Witness. I tend to favor mind bending stuff. I like family guy and south park though.

Comedy: Ralphie May, Dave Chappelle, Daniel Tosh

Music: I was a music student in college so this is an important category. I'll only name a few at the top of my list lately:
Hidden Orchestra
Dead Letter Circus
Ghost Atlas
A Perfect Circle
Machine Head
Alice in Chains
Pink Floyd

I generally think all food should be spicy....

Thai food is my favorite. But I love so many different types of food: Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Southern comfort food, etc.

I really love craft beer. Breweries I like:
Dogfish Head

IPA's are my jam.

I drink way too much coffee.
The six things I could never do without
-The internet (I'm hopelessly addicted to learning things)
-A creative pursuit (This is seriously part of my DNA)
-Books (I learn things from paper and ink too)
-Stories (these are at the very core of human nature)
-Music (Important enough to get a Bachelors degree in music composition)

I chose five things. I do what I want.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-How to take over the world.
-Why humans haven't been to Mars yet.
-Cadbury Cream Eggs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I didn't learn how to whistle or snap until way after most of my peers did. I'm sometimes a late bloomer, but usually make up for lost time by being a very fast learner.
You should message me if
If you're interested, please just send a message. I keep myself very busy and only seem to log in for 30 second intervals. The "guys always message first" game is tough for me to keep up with. At the same time, if I do message you first, it's kind of a rare occurrence, so feel good about yourself.

I make time for those worth spending time with. I'm legitimately that awesome guy you can't seem to meet, because he's too busy working to better himself to be out at the bar all the time....or wherever the hell else adult couples meet each other. I do like to go out when I can though.

-You can't remember the last time you were "bored".
-You're a creative person. (This really isn't essential, but it's nice to meet like minded people)
-You understand how conversations work. I've lost track of how many people on here only answer questions, never ask any questions of their own, and and have no conversation skills in general.

For that matter, if you consider yourself an interesting person and are passionate about something...anything. If you have drive and motivation, I really respect that.

I rapidly become bored of people whose life consists of, "Working a job and paying bills." If that's all you have to live for, your have my sympathy, but you'll lose my attention really quick.
