My self-summary
Thanks for reading my profile! :)

I hate to admit this...I'm a responsible grown man. Thankfully, I'm happy and generally have fun with whatever I'm doing. I have two young kids who I love so much it can make my heart ache. I love what I do for a living. I'm blessed to have amazing people in my life and I trust life is going to keep getting better and better. I feel so many good things coming my way.

I’ve benefited enormously from being single the last four years and I’ve grow in in ways I wouldn’t have, had I been in a relationship. Now I’m ready to welcome joyful, playful love into my life. Yeah, it takes time to get to know someone and I like getting to know someone slowly, without pressure, without forcing.

I’m attracted to women who are big-hearted, affectionate, emotionally intelligent, and playful. I'm drawn to people who radiate warmth and truly care for the people in their lives. I love people who are positive and who understand they have the power to make their lives what they desire. I don’t expect to find a perfect person, we're all works in progress. We all struggle at times, we all have our moments and bad days. What's important to me is that we make our best effort to grow in the places we need to, that we become conscious of our own stuff and that we take the wheel of our own life and point it in the direction we want to go. Mine is often pointed in the direction of joy.
What I’m doing with my life
Raising two boys, growing my company, spending time with friends, exercising, thinking about my next adventure, writing songs, appreciating, the rain while waiting for the sun to come out, sleeping occasionally, following my joy...almost always :)
I’m really good at
trying to be the best dad I can be
keeping my phone charged
getting parking tickets
speeding
missing the toilet in the middle of the night and peeing on the floor
never emptying the vacuum and wondering why it doesn't work
buying vegetables to juice and letting them go bad.
not making my bed or folding clothes.
erring on the side of being too optimistic.
being honest to a fault and working hard to censor myself.
eating out too often.
taking vitamins
not getting to sleep on time and waking up too damn early! :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told it's my smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Too many books to name here. Just started Music of the Soul. For a long time I loved apocalyptic, get the hell out of dodge, survival fiction - probably because I sit on my ass at the office too much and need more excitement. Lately I've been reading books about the Law of Attraction. No, it's not sexual attraction :)

Have tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers! Over the last few years I've seen Modest Mouse, Paul Simon, Ben Folds, the Eagles, Pearl Jam, Journey, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd, The Who, and Billy Joel this May. When I was in my 20's I was big into The Dead, Dylan, and reggae. Still Love hawaiian reggae. Best show I've ever seen was Smashing Pumkins and first concert ever was Simple Minds at the Greek Theater circa 1984? :) Yeah, I still love 80's music and I’m def stuck in past decades :) But for all you KEXP fanatics :), yes, I listen to contemporary indie stuff too. I love the Shins, Third Eye Blind, The Killers, Bleachers, The Strokes, Voxtrot, Cage the Elephant, Vampire, Milky Chance, Life in Film, The Raconteurs, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Modest Mouse, Two Door Cinema Club, Phoenix, Bon Iver, Coconut, Silversun, Grouplove, Incubus, The Kooks, Vance Joy, Bear Hands, Joywave, Mumford & Sons, Broken Bells, Death Cab, Passion Pit, Strand of Oaks, Belle and Sebastian, Jack White, Pixies, Rooney, and Guru Junior and others.

Here are some of my favorite movies, in no particular order: The Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, Everybody Wants Some, Dazed and Confused, Stripes, Cedar Rapids, Cast Away, Empire of the Sun, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, American Beauty, The Matrix, The Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, Goonies, Big, Never Cry Wolf, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Wanderlust, Moneyball, Jerry Maguire, Dazed and Confused, Animal House, Blues Brothers, Hesher, Brother Where Art Thou, The Men Who Stare at Goats, Super, Limitless, Star Wars, Danny DeckChair, The Way Back, Fair Game, It's Kind of a Funny Story, The Fighter, American Beauty, Amélie, When Harry Met Sally, The Pianist, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Life Is Beautiful, Braveheart, ET, many others.

On a typical Friday night I am

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I drool in my sleep.
You should message me if
I'm an emotionally mature man. Yeah, I grew up with many of the typical male rites of passage. IOW, I'm strong and can defend my family if needed, but I'm a pacifist at heart and think it's okay for men to be vulnerable, caring and loving. If you're looking for a tough guy or a project, I'm not your guy.
