Well, I like to think that I am an interesting man. I've completed an orbit of my life; I was born in the country, worked and traveled around the world for the service and work, and now I'm back close to family. Therefore, I can carry on an intelligent conversation with you about subjects from animal husbandry to Zoroaster and back. We can either have a casual chat; deep thoughtful discussion, or spirited debate. It's all good to me!
I love to have picnics and talks over coffee/tea/hot chocolate, can't carry a tune but love to sing anyway, can't dance unless I have some adult beverages to help me not care, and tend to completely immerse myself in any movie I may be watching or book I may be reading.
I am in a happy, wonderful open marriage based on trust and respect. So, I'm neither looking for a one-night stand or the love of my life. Everything in between is fair game.
I like to work hard and play hard. I love my job and parts of my life; other parts could definitely be better.
I think that life is too short and fragile to worry about regrets; however, I admit that there have been things that I have or have not done that I wish I could change.
I think that a person should try to learn something or experience something new everyday. This is not to say that I don't like schedules, but you should always try to improve/expand yourself.
I love to watch and study people. I am extremely good at 'reading' people. People fascinate me.
My username has a story behind it; I'm not trying to hide anything from anyone. Get to know me, and I will tell you the story.
I'm back to liking the empath in me again! I'm a strong natural empath, but that can be troublesome at times. However, it's back on my good side again!
I love to read. I really love fantasy, alternate reality, vampire, science fiction, biographies, erotic fiction. Favorite mainstream sci-fi authors include (but not limited to) Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, Piers Anthony, Robert Silverberg, Poul Anderson, Orson Scott Card. Favorite erotic fantasy series are by J.R. Ward, Lynsay Sands, Laurell K. Hamilton, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Larissa Ione, Jeaniene Frost, and Christine Feehan to name a few because you get the best of both worlds (exciting alternate reality and sexy). I love reading non-fiction science also, especially biographies and historical analysis.
As far as movies and music, my tastes run the full gamut of genres depending upon my mood, activities, and time. I have movies that I watch for each holiday. I love music from A to Z (alternative to zydeco). Music does sooth the savage beast.
Food also resonates with me and is a treat to the senses (taste, texture, smell, appearance, touch). I like to try new foods; but at the same time, I have favorites that I always crave.
Escapes (music, movies, books, favorite TV shows, etc.)

Ok, that one is so serious. So, on a lighter note, I like 'chick flicks' that are romantic comedies (the serious, dramatic ones tend to depress me).
