My self-summary
Hi there! I have lived in San Antonio my whole life. Though, I have traveled across the US, Europe, and Canada. Favorite places thus far are Joshua Tree and Alaska. I'll take getting lost in beautiful country over tourist, metropolitan areas. My hobbies tend to lend themselves to being active and outdoors as much as possible. You can usually find me riding my bike through downtown and the missions during the weekend or with friends enjoying the outdoors. I'm very easy to please and prefer the simple things in life to extravagance. So, good music, good friends, and good beer will make me happy. Checking out the local music and art scenes is something I always look forward to. Especially, First Friday. Music is an integral part of my life. I have been playing the drums over half my life and have been slowly learning guitar the past couple of years (self taught in both).
What I’m doing with my life
Working as an EMT to gain trauma experience. I'm beginning a transition to IT in a couple of weeks when I start the cloud academy with rackspace. When I'm not working, I'm usually at the gym, biking, playing guitar, or with friends trying to soak in some good art or live music on the Saint Mary's strip.
I’m really good at
Filling my mind with esoteric knowledge. Being affectionate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've had people comment on my eyes. I'm a silver fox :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
If I had to choose a specific genre of music, I would say blues/desert rock have a hold on my heart (Graveyard is my favorite). My favorite books are the ones that tend to challenge you and have a degree of deep introspection. (Chuck Palanhiuk is a wonderful writer.) I would say that my favorite modern day philosophers/comedians are George Carlin, Bill Hicks, and Henry Rollins.
On a typical Friday night I am
Looking for some good music and a little mischief.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an open book and don't believe anything is off limits. Nor are there any inappropriate questions. I prefer deep conversations than superficial, inane small talk. It would be nice to meet someone who can sit me down, shut me up, and teach me five things I don't know. So, feel free to ask me anything.
You should message me if
You love seeing live music and browsing art. If you want to go biking, try some good beer, or just engage in shenanigans.
