I really enjoy food - growing it, cooking it, and experimenting with new recipes.
I can be very silly when I want to and try not to take the crazy turns of life too seriously. I love to make up songs, games, and stories on the spot to entertain my nieces, nephews and friends. My silliness also comes in handy as a member of an improv theater group.
Whenever I can, I get outdoors - hiking, kayaking, swimming, gardening, or just a walk around the nearest pond or park. I enjoy the community feel of living in a city neighborhood, yet getting out into rural and wild spaces is necessary for my general sanity. Any place with less people than wildlife will do; there is something about looking up to see something untame wander by that pulls me up short and brings out wonder and unmitigated joy.
I am looking to meet someone who can be a close friend, partner, and lover. Of course that all has to start with a first date, meeting new people, and getting to do fun things in and around the city together.
