My self-summary
I moved to Seattle in January 2008, and have found a great job and a lovely place to call home. I moved from Cincinnati - and came to enjoy the better weather, the liberal environment, and the lovely people. I am looking to date, with an eventual goal of finding both friends and true love. (True love, not to blave. I hope you get this reference!)

I am a self-sufficient guy who enjoys nature, traveling, board gaming, dining, and learning.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a full time thinker - and payed well for my thoughts. They are usually of how things can be done cheaper and better. I recently left Boeing to go to work for a small private "Green Tech" company. I am passionate about the environment and feel privileged to have the chance to actively work to improve it.

Beside working, I am still having a great time exploring Seattle, and discovering new people, places, and even a few things. Apparently I like exploring nouns. Who knew!? I am also getting ready to publish my fourth board game : "Damage Report" We successfully funded on Kickstarter! Now we are in the process of manufacturing the game - and getting into the hands of our adoring fans, and distribution. I really enjoy making games, and playing games... it has been a passion of mine for many years, and now I am standing on the threshold of making this a real job someday.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh
Having a great time - no matter what
Leading the way - I am good at directions, and reading maps!
Finding good in people, and turning bad situations into funny memories...
The first things people usually notice about me
I have always been someone that people remember - for better or worse. ;) I like to kid around, and make people smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is always a ridiculous question. There is simply to much to enjoy. Here is my best attempt:

Books: Sci-Fi (Asimov, Heinlin, Bradbury, Clarke, S.M. Stirling, Gaiman etc.), Fiction (various) and business books (economics, management, supply chain, etc.) Movies: a couple favorites: Monty Python, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Princess Bride, Space Balls, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, L.A. Story, Airplane, Trains Planes & Automobiles, and many many more that I love Music: Anything but rap, christian, and contemporary country. Food: Indian, Thai, Mexican, German, Italian, Chinese - and a pub food now and then.

I have recently read books by Ernest Cline: Ready Player One. It is a fantastic fiction story, and homage to the 80's! - I highly suggest it!).
Six things I could never do without
Hmmm... I will stick to physical material objects that I could actually live seperated from, but would prefer not to. As I recently left my home in Cincinnati in a small car, I actually had to think about this type of question.

1. Internet Access - it connects me to knowledge and people.
2. Friends - what is more important than the lives you touch?
3. A few books - I love to read!
4. Reminders of my past - photos, trinkets, gifts from loved ones.
5. My frisbee golf discs. It is my favorite sport!
6. My cell phone - once again it is about connecting to others.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Game Design / Gaming Industry
Economics / Peak Oil / Global Warming
Business / Capitalism / Consumerism
Getting away to the coast
Friends / Guys / Running
Weather / Building something
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing board games with friends, catching up on chores, or maybe at my house just chillin. (note the lack of a "g" which makes me cool).

I often host board games at my house... like about every Saturday, and sometimes Sunday. I design, publish, and enjoy board games a lot.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I moved to Seattle FOR the weather.
You should message me if
You have read this profile, you find it either funny or interesting... or both? Most importantly if you would like to meet and learn more about one another perhaps over amazing coffee, or beer. Or, if you are a board gamer and are looking to play sometime! I have a pretty extensive library of games at this point.
