My self-summary
Primarily I am someone who enjoys the simplicities of life. Being outdoors is where I love to be; unfortunately, being outdoors does not often make you a valuable contributing member of society, so I also work on an awesome team within Microsoft's Azure. (only ask about my job if you really want to here ;-) )
What I’m doing with my life
Throughout the week you can usually find me working (either from the office or coffee shop), practicing yoga, studying or going out with friends. On the weekends though you will most likely find me in the mountains, forests or on the water!
I’m really good at
At age two my two, my semi-professional waterskiing parents introduced me to my very first pair of downhill skis. Growing up on this east coast of Canada, I became very good at skiing fast, on some of the hardest snow in North America. Throughout University I fell back in love with the sport by first moving to Toronto (I know, of all places!) and spending three days a week on the ski hill sleeping in my car to afford it! After Toronto I knew it was going to be somewhere out west, and when I got an internship offer to Microsoft at their main campus here in Seattle, I knew it was going to be awesome! On my second internship, the first to span into winter, I spent every day, every weekend up at Stevens Pass; Stevens Pass, I later found out, was just my introduction to the PNW and their beautiful mountains.
Skiing has, through all this, become one of the skills of which I am truly proud. Besides skiing, I have many assorted skills in many varying spaces which I have developed out of my love of learning new things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've been trying to cut out entertainment lately so I haven't really been watching any movies or shows (though I will just say Supernatural and Game of Thrones rock!). As far as books are concerned I have been reading mostly textbooks, The Economist and Plato's Statesman.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Geopolitics, economics, technology, physics, philosophy, society, love and beauty!

You can only ever be as good as the perspectives that make up your point of view. I love learning and trying to understand this magnificent universe we belong to.
On a typical Friday night I am
Ski season usually puts me to bed by 9pm Friday nights... I'm not much fun ;-)
