My self-summary
I'm an American living in Germany for nine (!) years.

I spend a bit of time on the weekends cooking (weekdays are too busy!), going to the gym to work off said cooking, playing sports, going out with friends -- the usual.

The old stuff:
I'm an easy-going, fun-loving guy. I love to travel, meet new people, eat good food, play sports/exercise, read and spend time with my friends. I have a great sense of humor, i can be sarcastic at times, witty at others. I love movies and music, and my ideal night is one spent with good friends laughing and hanging out. I love to cook -- thai, mexican, indian, italian -- almost anything.

I am snarky, vaguely literate, and athletigent.
What I’m doing with my life
I moved to Germany almost ten (!) years ago and I'm indulging my love of travel and culture while trying to learn a new language. I'm also teaching Germans to jaywalk and improving the English-language sexual innuendos of my colleagues.
I’m really good at
Making my friends laugh, reading (I can read through anything!), and asking random questions.
The first things people usually notice about me
Excellent question, feel free to let me know!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A) "Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver, "Lamb" by Christopher Moore,"Anathem" by Neal Stephenson, "Guns, Germs and Steel" by Jared Diamond are a few of my faves.
B) "Star Wars", "Pulp Fiction", "Kill Bill" 1 & 2, "Tommy Boy", "The Matrix", "Layer Cake", "Anchorman" and lots more. For TV, it's "30 Rock", "The Office", "Seinfeld", "The Simpsons"
C) U2, Jazz, Norah Jones, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, pretty much whatever my buddy Benny sends me.
D) Almost anything! Especially Thai food, Indian, Mexican, you name it, especially if it's spicy
The six things I could never do without
Friends, family, good food, good beer, books and hot showers!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where to go on my next trip, what to eat next, and probably NOT what I'm doing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends at a bar or club, decompressing at home, or traveling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I'll answer almost any question. Ok, fine, I once hit a cyclist while I was riding a scooter.
You should message me if
You're interested in good conversation and having fun. I'm open to meeting new people from anywhere, especially if you just reached your 1 millionth frequent flier mile :)
