My self-summary
Reserved girl-next door type. Not a party girl nor spontaneous; I prefer to plan things out. Fiscally conservative. I dislike accidentally offending people with questions or misunderstandings, so if I seem too naive, please be patient.

A bit of clarification. First dates must be during the day in public. I will not be meeting a perfect stranger at night. I am not a risk taker by nature, and as the old cliche goes, better safe than sorry. And if you are in an open relationship, please don't bother.
What I’m doing with my life
Working: Gotta pay the pickle man.

Active in my Buddhist faith community: made wonderful friends, but finding balance between prayer and concrete action can be tough for a pragmatist like myself.

Working(playing with?) on my fourth graphic novel. First three are out in paperback! Drawing comics is my avocation). My drawing skills are far from perfect, but darn it, I got stories I wanna put on paper before I die, and drawing cute anime girls is fun! So, I'm going for it!
I’m really good at
listening, planning, over-estimating travel times(I dislike running late for things), baking cookies, Bugs Bunny impersonations.
The first things people usually notice about me
my smile, always asking questions, child-at-heart, my innocence; a dear friend of mine says I have a pure heart. Aww!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a geeky girl who gets passionate about her hobbies. Here goes:
Books: shojo manga or independently published comics with manga-like art by American artists, Sherlock Holmes pastiches, occasional Buddhist books to keep up with faith-study.
Movies: Anything with good sword-fights, period drama.
TV shows: Mostly anime;
See Revolutionary Girl Utena, Sailor Moon, Rose of Versailles, Justice League, Batman the animated series.

As for TV shows, I got rid of my cable,so I watch web TV or my DVD collection. Love "Sherlock" from BBC. Nice 21st century take on the character
UPDATE: Season 3 and 4 of Sherlock disappointing to me, just saying....

Music: Japanese pop, country music, occasionally swing jazz like Frank Sinatra.

Food: Italian and old-school American coffee shops, Chinese is yummy too(though nothing too spicy). I enjoy Japanese udon and tempura once in a while. And of course, CHOCOLATE!
Six things I could never do without
my computer.
My best friend.
Hot chocolate(or anything chocolate, for that matter, except white)
the use of my drawing hand.
My health(being sick sucks!)
My family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to help my friends
how to improve my comics while having fun creating them.
Desires versus needs, how to prioritize them..
staying true to myself and not comparing myself to others
Learning how not to plan TOO much..
On a typical Friday night I am
Not a night owl, so either at home relaxing from work, or at local Buddhist meeting. I prefer dates during the weekends, but I am flexible if Friday nights are your thing. My weekends can be busy sometimes too, but I try to find time to meet new people that I find interesting or neat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
didn't come out til 21, didn't find courage to date until 30.

Since I am chaste, I place committed mind/heart matching companionship above sex, but the right girl for me can make me melt(and she's tough to find, let me tell you).

Here to have casual dates, take it slow, making friends with other gay ladies to expand that circle.
Cute old school butches in ties make me smile, even though I can be shy in their dapper presence.
You should message me if
any of my hobbies/lifestyle resonate with you to create a good friendship. If we can make each other laugh til it hurts, you're a keeper!

you are a sweet, patient, caring butch who likes to laugh, & doesn't mind the shy geek type.
this shy princess seeking beautiful prince, in the meantime, I enjoy taking care of the platonic flowers in my garden.

Anime fan? Let's plant a seed, talk and see what grows!
