My self-summary
I'm 30 years old, and just finished school at UoA in Dec 2013. So glad to be done with it!

I work as a Project Manager at a software development company. Getting settled into real life (work, etc) has been my main focus since graduating school, but I do enjoy going out and having fun with friends and family.

I don't drink much, not because I think anything is wrong with it, just because it isn't my thing. I just don't enjoy it.

I'm a bit of a nerd, I love computers, gaming, learning new programming languages, and lan parties!

I also very much enjoy going to the mountains and taking a hike (when it isn't 106 degrees :D), horseback riding (I lived in CG for a while and had 3 horses!), gardening (yes, I find plant biology very fascinating) and quite a few other outdoors activities.

I have an Italian Greyhound and two cats that are all spoiled, but I can't help it, I love them to death.

I don't really know what else to say, I guess if you want to know anymore you will just have to ask :)
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently doing quite a few things! I'm working, catching up on a backlog of video games from when I was in school, trying to learn the guitar (I suck at musical instruments), and catching up on reading.

also starting to work out again now that school is over. It will be a long road, but I'll get there.
I’m really good at
I'm told that I'm a very good listener, but I guess that is something subjective. I'm very good at my job, but I don't think that is what this question is asking about :) I guess its up to you to tell me what you think i'm good at :P
The first things people usually notice about me
My very green eyes :P
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a huge fantasy book nerd, I love a ton of classics, including: Wheel of Time, LotR, Dragonlance, Planescape, Dark Tower, etc. (are GL and PS considered classics yet?) I like other genres too, pretty much anything that is interesting or fun to read.

I've been told many times that I should read the Harry Potter books, but I still haven't gotten around to it yet.

Movies: I love pretty much any movie with Cary Grant (my favorite is An Affair to Remember), any Hitchcock films, a lot of the original film noir stuff. I also like a ton of modern movies. I tend to go towards drama/action/psychological thriller type movies.

My Top Movies: (in no particular order):
Casablanca, North by Northwest, An Affair to Remember, The Matrix, Tron (the original), Star Wars, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rocky (yes, I know, I can't help it :D), Apocalypse Now, Casino, Training Day, all the new batman movies, No Country for Old Men, how High (stupid, but hilarious!), FMJ, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Up, Over the Hedge.

Ok, so that's a few more than the typical 10, and I could really go on for another 10, but you get the idea.

Music: I listen to everything. I have everything from Mozart to just released music on my playlist, and I'm always on the lookout for new stuff!

Food: Thai is my favorite, but I like a lot of foods.
Six things I could never do without
My computer (gotta make money!)
ummm....my beard?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The direction in which our country is headed and how powerless I feel as an individual in this emerging way of life. Its not that I'm powerless over my own actions, it is just that those actions can't affect any sort of change without tons of money to back it up.

Note: I don't identify as a republican or democrat anymore. I actually don't identify as anything, however, if any candidate started talking about ACTUAL change, and started talking about the issues that matter to the PEOPLE on an every day basis, I would be behind that candidate 100% regardless of party.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either hanging out with friends, family, or working. I have to work once a month on friday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like all kinds of movies/tv/music. I don't care what kind of label it carries, as long as it is entertaining. I catch hell about this all the time when I watch a perceived "chick flick" and enjoy it. That isn't to say I enjoy all of them by any means, but if it is entertaining, I like it, regardless of labels :D
You should message me if
You find anything I said interesting, or you have a comment on something I said, or you just want to have a debate about something! (good debates are fun!)
