My self-summary
Hi! I moved to Austin from Illinois a few years ago after finishing school in the Chicago area. Like most people, I don't like the idea of being summarized in a couple paragraphs, but here are a few relevant adjectives/phrases:

...calm, friendly, positive, fairly introverted, facetious/deadpan in humor (big fan of "The Onion"), open-minded, somewhat anti-capitalistic, and very much into physical fitness.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in project management at a clinical research company. In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, swim, watch movies, lift weights, read life-changing books/articles (well hey, ideally), and go out downtown when I have good company.
I’m really good at
swimming (I swam Division I in college, and swimming was pretty much my life ages 13-23), thinking about things with a psychological perspective, crunching numbers, and playing old-school N64 games!
The first things people usually notice about me
fairly tall, broad shoulders, probably look a couple years younger than my age.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - pretty much anything to do with social psychology.

Movies - Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Inception, The Prestige, Donnie Darko, Big Trouble in Little China, Bloodsport, Happy Gilmore, Dumb and Dumber, The Goonies, Taken.

TV shows - Breaking Bad, Louie, Game of Thrones, Tosh.O, Nip/Tuck, Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Dog Whisperer.

Music - I like most stuff that was popular in the late 90s/early 00s, but some of my favorite artists now are Kaskade, Drake, Staind, Incubus, and Calvin Harris, among others.

Food - I eat mostly on the healthy side, but my all-time favorite foods happen to be cookie dough and Pizza Hut pizza :)
The six things I could never do without
1) home movies
2) exercise
3) my music
4) relaxation time
5) internet
6) good people
On a typical Friday night I am
doing what most people do...hanging out with friends, going out to bars/downtown, or just relaxing at home while watching a movie or reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I just got my first "smart phone" this summer and am not big into social media.
You should message me if
-you consider yourself a positive, warmhearted person.

-you're not too scattered/ADD in your behavior.

-you're able to separate your mindset from the junk that comes with the okcupid experience and actually want to meet someone cool in-person.

So many people seem to me to be very "boyfriend (/girlfriend)-hungry" and overly eager to pair up with the wrong fit of person. Although I am ready for and would like a relationship, I've found that I get to that point slower than most people.
