My self-summary
To begin... my name is Tim! I'm a fairly relaxed and patient person. I love thinking about how and why things work (especially social constructs) and I enjoy spending time with my friends. I love going over theories and philosophies, pondering the mysteries of the universe! Otherwise I'm lazing about reading a book or listening to music or volunteering somewhere.
What I’m doing with my life
I work a lot in a retail job that I enjoy, but other than working I participate in some awesome tabletop roleplaying games with my friends. I also read fantasy novels (currently re-reading the Sword of Truth book series for the third time). I also jog every day along with some other exercises and am working on improving my health.
I’m really good at
Observing and listening, so I am usually really good at reading people. Being thoughtful, mindful and seeing both sides of an issue or an opinion. I'm also a very creative person, which manifests in many different ways (sometimes I'm really into arts & crafts, the next month I may be singing all the time, etc).
The first things people usually notice about me
My patience and fairness.

Food-wise I'm really into Mexican dishes, Italian food (PASTA & GNOCCHI! Also been getting into more Thai and Indian food (Narai in downtown Olympia is the best).
Six things I could never do without
I could never do without music (in some form or another), as it pleases my ears and my soul. I could not do without happiness, for then I would have no reason to improve or look forward to anything. I would also have no happiness to give to others, which would break my heart. Those are debatably the only things I would have difficulty living without.

I am really fond of books (and knowledge).

I enjoy positivity and organization (although I'm not going to force you to be organized - to each their own).

Mystery. Without some mystery in my life, I would never be searching for all that the world has to offer and teach me, never feel suspense, and never wonder about the 'what if's.

I could never do without my ability to reason, or think. I enjoy intellectual conversations and learning about the world around me. Well, I could, but if I couldn't reason, it wouldn't matter so much anymore, would it?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Myself and others, music, philosophical pursuits and theories, ethics and judgments, & what people think of me (and more importantly, why).

I'm always thinking about the world and what I can do to make it a better place. Thoughts about the potential of mankind, what we can do to change the world. What we are capable of creating, all of our achievement. In this vein, trying to find my place in all of it.

Also, when I'm in a new place I often look at the interior design and architecture - I have a soft spot for old and/or historical buildings.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably working, sometimes out and about, but I usually spend the day at home, relaxing and reading a book or watching movies, or possibly playing video games on my computer (Fallout 4, No Man's Sky, sometimes MMO's, etc).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
People who lack integrity (those who often do not do what they say they will do) frustrate me to no end.
You should message me if
...if you want to get to know me, become a friend... if you want someone to be a good friend to you in return. If you share some interests or hobbies with me. If you want to go walking / hiking / jogging with me. There are plenty of reasons - message me! :)
