My self-summary
Fun stuff.

What I’m doing with my life
Studied neuroscience and econ undergrad. Now I'm in grad school at Tufts, finishing up a drug development program and doing part time computer repair house calls (probably for your sweet old but technologically impaired grandparents). I want to springboard this to get into a good Neuroscience program, my passion.
I’m really good at
Logic/puzzles, photography, choral singing (baritone represent), math, science!, chess, bowling, video games, journalism, casual debating, academics in general, sarcasm, bear hugs.
The first things people usually notice about me
My stockiness, deep voice, and usually a smattering of facial hair. I have awesome eyes too, if I say so myself. Oh, and if my Jew-bling is hanging out people will take note of that too.

One time someone asked if I really loved mathematics. When I asked her why, she pointed at my chai and noted that I was wearing a pi symbol around my neck.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, System of a Down, Guns n' Roses, The Doors, The White Stripes, Velvet Revolver, The Who, Alice in Chains, Audioslave, Jane's Addiction, Juno Reactor, Led Zepplin, Nine Inch Nails, Muse.

Also a fan of jazz, EDM, (sometimes) classical, and movie/videogame soundtracks.

TV Shows: Community, Tennant/Smith Dr. Who, Star Trek TNG, Orange is the New Black, Parks/Rec, House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rick and Morty, Broad City, Game of Thrones, Drunk History, Nathan for You, The Walking Dead, nostalgic cartoons...

Favorite Movies: Hook (if you like this movie, you're instantly awesome in my book), Airplane!, The Shawshank Redemption, Ace Ventura, Akira, The Truman Show, Fight Club, Memento, Interstellar, the Star Trek reboots... too many to list, really. The only thing I really don't like are romcoms, unless the company is worth it ;)

Favorite Books: A Spell for Chameleon, Life of Pi, LotR, Adventures of Cavalier and Klay, Exodus, Snow Crash. Asimov, King, Clancy, Crichton, etc... come to think of it I really haven't read too much recently. Let me know if you have a particularly favorite Scifi (especially cyberpunk), high fantasy, or thriller author.

I refuse to read ASoIaF because I don't want to spoil the show.

Games: I'll pretty much play anything but sports games. I particularly enjoy Team Fortress 2, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Civ, and especially roguelikes like FTL, Binding of Isaac... you get the gist.

I guess under this category I should mention I'm a pretty big board game connoisseur. I'm perfectly happy spending a night in playing catan or cards against humanity.

I'll eat anything really, but I'm a wimp for spicy foods (not that it stops me from trying once in a while, I'm just waiting on my tongue to finally grow calluses). I'll try anything once!
The six things I could never do without
1) A hot shower
2) A cold pillow
3) Questions to answer
4) A few very close friends
5) Mutual trust and respect
6) Laughter (cheap or otherwise)
I spend a lot of time thinking about

Trying to rationalize that all the junk I studied in high school and college (psych, econ, etc) actually has some merit in the real world. I have a confirmation bias for confirmation biases.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to seduce rat adrenal cells into giving up their sweet, sweet dopamine packets. Or partying like a rockstar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have some pretty cool scars on my abdomen and right leg, the result of skiing into a tree when I was 13. I've gone skiing once since... just to say I could, and I'm potentially up for more.
You should message me if
You're up for casual chat or intellectual debate or silliness or anything in between.

You love the ocean.
