My self-summary
Just came back from a 2 week trip in Vietnam. Going to Mexico City in October, where next!?

Just hit my 1 year anniversary of buying my home!

I'm definitely looking for friends and/or drinking/eating partners at least! I am not a club or partying person, but I enjoy great food, drink, and company. I'm not prissy or dramatic, it fills my heart to hear laughter, and kindness and thoughtfulness are my 2 pillars of life. I have a weakness if you have facial hair and/or a beard. And certainly if you're taller than me.

I come with a lot of laughter. I like making people laugh as it is the universal sound of joy. I meet people easily as I'm approachable, friendly, and definitely not standoffish to anybody. I certainly don't take myself very seriously and enjoy a good ol' time. As rainbows and sunshines as this self-summary sounds so far, I'm certainly not that annoyingly positive guy about everything in life--some shit sucks. And i have a potty mouth. I'm a pretty tough fortune cookie.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a senior mutual fund analyst for a retirement company. I know, crazy exciting. I essentially sit and play with Excel all day and manage the thousands of non proprietary mutual funds we offer (for you finance people). This has taken me to Denver, CO to start a new team for my company, which is crazy exciting.

I find myself making plans to travel to beaches and mountains and rivers and food places with friends often. I'm always the organizer for our getaways. Life is too short to spend on a couch every day. But sometimes, that's just what you need. I'm a very balanced person.
I’m really good at
Playing pool, being Asian, and anything with food. Cooking is my passion in life. I think it is beautiful to be able to provide a necessity to others and have them enjoy it immensely. I love hiking and kayaking. Been on some fun trips like standing on top of Dragon's Tooth in Virginia and kayaking 18 miles of rapids in the rain. I'm not scared of getting dirty or wet at all!

I think I'd survive in the outdoors pretty well but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate A/C.
The first things people usually notice about me
Oh, he's Asian without a high pitched voiced. And he can't sing. And he has a booty for an Asian.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I usually read before bed to fall asleep. Just about anything, usually some fiction or fantasy or something that takes my mind off of things. Sometimes I catch up on my news on my phone these days since work has been so busy.

Love food! I don't know why I'm not 300+ lbs some times... I'll try anything ten times even if I don't like it.

I've always loved the blues rock of the Black Keys and the likes (Mumford, Lumineers, Monsters...). I enjoy M.I.A., Miike Snow, Nirvana, Lauryn Hill, Avenged Sevenfold, Kongos, Beats Antique, Dinah Washington, Junior Kimbrough..most anything with a little soul and beat and rock. I'm terrible with sing titles though. Though I'm typically an alternative rock music guy but who can't have fun with Whitney and Kelly Clarkson?

I own a tv, but I haven't had any kind of service for years. I just use the internet based TV stuff. I watch things randomly online like The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, and a couple of others, but nothing I'm religious about.
Six things I could never do without
1. A good book
2. A kitchen
3. A pool stick
4. Water (like, a river, the ocean, a pool)
5. Hugs! The human race is one of the least tactile creatures in the world. Especially men, when was the last time you touched somebody besides a handshake? I hug everybody. All of my friends hug each other. It is a simple, beautiful thing.
6. That ache in your abs from laughing too much
7. Fish sauce
I spend a lot of time thinking about
It'd be a shorter list of what I don't think about. Planning a trip somewhere. When my next big dinner party is (about once a month-ish). What if I had super powers. What if I was a witch. How do I run a food truck/restaurant. What if I quit my corporate job and bought a small farm.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing pool at a dive bar or sitting outside with some friends laughing the night away. I have a penchant for red wines and whiskeys on the rocks.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I use to be a ninja.
You should message me if
If you'd like to get to know each other, grab a drink, some food, or laugh a little. Or if you hate Asians, like I do.
