My self-summary
I'm a horticulturist who loves books, cooking, eating at ethnic restaurants (something spicy). I like walking in natural places - going up to the mountains, hunting waterfalls, swimming in the lakes. If you go hiking with me, be prepared for frequent stops while I check out the plants. I'm an atheist with a interest in science. I do feel what other people might call spirituality when in nature, especially around big, old trees or streams. I like to watch sci-fi shows and movies on DVD. I don't watch any television otherwise. My biggest goal right now is working towards a masters degree in library science, concentrating on special libraries (botanical and horticultural).

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately - politics and whether this country will return to sanity.
On a typical Friday night I am
Curled up on the couch reading, or sipping tea out on the deck watching the fireflies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My political orientation as tested by Political Compass [politicalcompass.org] Economic Left/Right: -7.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.54
