My self-summary
Genuine, independent girl with a boisterous sense of humour, intelligent but giggly, with an infectious smile. Loves animals but not a crazy cat lady. No baggage here, just a carry-on. An excellent listener and an even better storyteller. Loves a good martini or even a bad one. Loves to read about far away places, and then actually go there. Enjoys hanging out with her abundance of good friends and planning the next trip.

Ideally looking for a hopeless romantic who will sweep me off my feet, but will happily settle for a strong, normal guy, not ‘still living at home’ or in a retirement facility. Someone who makes me laugh until it hurts, has an original mind, and a well-developed sweet side. In short, no definite blueprint in mind of what this would end up looking like but would love to meet somebody whose company makes me miss them hard when they're not around and who feels the same about me. I'm happy as a fun-loving single, but am ready to share life with somebody else.
What I’m doing with my life
When I find out I'll let you know.
I’m really good at
Remembering good lines from movies. Drinking wine. Typing fast. Sarcasm. Making people laugh (or at least making them like me enough to humour me...). Planning for travel and navigating on road trips. Loving my friends. Pointing out grammatical and spelling errors until people sigh and roll their eyes.
The first things people usually notice about me
Really haven't conducted a poll on this, but the friend sitting next to me says I should mention my "big blue eyes" and my smile. I might add my sense of humour only because people often seem surprised by it. Not sure why - it`s vaguely worrying actually...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Do we really have to agree on all this? I`d be amazed if we did and quite honestly most of my tastes would not be considered `high brow' but I would hope my man wouldn't care. Books - non-fiction science-y stuff, mysteries, fun reading I guess but will read anything that grabs me from the dust jacket. Movies - so many but a few faves are Amelie, Chicago, Pride & Prejudice, Love Actually, (hopeless romantic, remember?), Star Wars, Close Encounters, the last Star Trek movie (I'm a wee bit of a geek too...). Music - most everything and I mean it. I truly love music. Shows - I'm assuming this means TV and not Broadway... well, I do like TV so quite a few, generally comedies... surely nobody needs a list of these? Food... sheesh, I'm tired now - this is a lot of questions. I like all food - too much. There.
Six things I could never do without
If I`m being honest and not trying to be clever: friends, car, travel, money, wine (not a drunk but I do like it...), animals, good grammar\spelling - that's 7 but it really drives me crazy when it's bad so I had to add it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I`m going to shake up my life so it isn`t the same 5 years from now.
On a typical Friday night I am
It`s one of the few nights I try to have no plans, because Friday is when the whole rest of the week usually catches up to me. So generally it`s spent lying slack-jawed on the couch, watching telly and catching up on down time. Exciting, huh? But true.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ok well, you know how it says in my summary that I`m an excellent listener? Well, I can`t honestly say I always care about what people are saying to me. Sometimes people are boring! But I am good at pretending to be interested...
You should message me if
You think I sound interesting and fun and you are too. You don't hate children or animals (this doesn't mean I want children but people who actually hate children are a little scary to me). You aren't attached romantically in any way to anybody else. You like people and life in general.
