My self-summary
I arrived in Brooklyn three years ago after living in Colorado for two years and was living in Chicago for over eight years before that. But I am still a Minnesota boy at heart. I am into everything that makes life great including but not limited to: art, food, music, nature, people. I try to live the good life: Good Food, Good drink, and active living. I have hippy-socialist values and yet, after living in Boulder, CO for two years, hippies drive me crazy. Everything I do I want to do a hundred percent and I love people that are just as excited and motivated. Happiness is consuming 3 or more beverages at once (for example: coffee, juice, and sparkling water/ or beer, whiskey, and regular water.)

When I live in the country I want to listen to jazz but when I live in the city I want to listen to country. What does that say about me?
What I’m doing with my life
I am a performer, educator, and general freelancer. Making things happen in the big city -- little by little.

Sometimes I work with computers for quick cash. Lately I have been obsessed with learning how to talk to them (aka programming).

I used to teach a lot, including coaching rock bands for kids.
Lately I haven't had the chance. I miss that. Teaching is the
highest form of knowledge.
I’m really good at
Packing a Car, Making pizza, Converting Physical Things into Digital Things, Making Iced Coffee, Math, Listening, Not getting caught, Building a fire.
The first things people usually notice about me
People usually notice that I have a weird name. It is from an irish religious text: kind of. I was named after a cowboy: sort of. But I was really named after a politician: completely true.

I have blonde hair and a red beard. I do not know why this is.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music, Politics, and strangely enough Economics. If the Singularity really is near. The value of art in society. Produce. How we could make education better. How no matter how hard we try, we still mostly act like a bunch of hunter gatherers. How to cheat at grammar. How I don't like Steely Dan, but I am pretty sure I will in ten years.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing music with friends. Maybe just staying in, weekends are for rookies; the real fun is on the weeknights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes, when I'm riding my bike, I make mouse and the motorcycle sounds.

Oh, and I have a thing for southern girls.

It might be the sass.
You should message me if
I love to cook, but cooking alone is lame. So maybe we could do that at some point.

I'm looking for someone to motivate me. I mean, this is New York after all.
Don't worry, I am really good at returning the favor.
