My self-summary
I moved to the Bay Area (from DC) 3 years ago, and it all still feels very new. The landscape, the weather, the people, the avocados.

I'm tall, intellectual, and looking for a serious relationship, hopefully. Never been married, no kids, not even any pets. I should get a cat, but having a pet would mean I'm holding an animal hostage, which seems a bit wrong.

Been living on Ocean Beach since 11/14, and I'm still getting used to the wind and fog, but watching the waves makes everything alright. I've tried growing some plants on my balcony, but it sometimes gets abormally windy and potted plants quickly die, so I got that going for me.

Why didn't I move here years ago?
What I’m doing with my life
Reading too much, making maps, flying stuff, planning my next trip, exploring all the awesome areas that the Bay Area has to offer. Maybe check out some redwoods? Or Hawaii?

At this very moment, oddly, I'm writing about what I'm doing with my life.
I’m really good at
Problem solving. identifying tree species, getting along with cats. Using slang in text messages (some of which has unfortunately entered my normal vocabulary, mos def). I'm also pretty good with computers, which seems pretty useful around here.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my height, I'm a little bit taller than average... or my striking blue eyes that pierce into people's souls. You've been warned.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I often look forward to when The Economist electronically appears on Thursdays.
Six things I could never do without
Seeing the ocean
Episodic solitude
Sleeping late on Sundays
Taco flavored kisses
Salt N Pepa (the group & the combination-spice)
Meaningful conversations
Both short & long term memories
Breaking rules (see above)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Geography and history. Jealous?
How the clock moves fast and silent.
Selfish genes.
Pixels. The Force.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing laundry, washing my hair, or running from the police.
You should message me if
You're open-minded and you think we'd get along.
