My self-summary
I'm an Aspie, all this means is that my brain functions a bit differently from the majority of the population. I'm proud of who I am and don't consider it a 'disorder' or something I need to change. It has taken me years to realise that it is years of trying to do this and fit in that has been the source of most of my woes, so if this is something that you can't handle... oh well. I'm also generally a bit unconventional in my interests and self expression... I see gender as a social construct and while female physiologically not so much mentally... I'm somewhere between man and woman.

Quiet, honest, loyal and trustworthy, though prone to excitement around issues that are close to my heart... a bit like a dog, which probably explains why my best friend is an actual dog.

Geeky law student who thinks Man of Steel and Jupiter Ascending were great films, and Colin Baker (6) was a brilliant Doctor.

Currently flirting with veganism, snowboarding, rollerderby and various other things.

I know this next bit is horribly brutal, I'm not looking to be in a relationship with anyone with significant mental health issues who is not in a stable place themselves, this is a huge trigger for me as I spent years involved with people who drained me so much I could no longer look after myself, supporting other people and getting little in return.

Sorry if anyone feels this is oversharing but, I'm tired of having to pussyfoot around these issues and pretend I'm something I'm not so this felt like the easiest option.

I prefer female people for relationships but am open to meeting other interesting people.
What I’m doing with my life
Law school, borrowing dogs, planning my next trip to see my siblings who live in Asia, trying to learn a bit of Mandarin and Japanese so I can talk to my brother and sister in laws families.
I’m really good at
Problem solving, missing the point, trivia (though I have a terrible memory for detail) and saying the wrong thing at the wrong time... well I'm an aspie and I don't always feel the need to conform with traditional social conventions.

I also have a very strong sense of justice, of the natural equitable sort and see there are higher values than the simple text of the laws passed by politicians.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food - I love trying new things so always looking for an excuse to try a new restaurant or cuisine, visit a food event or just cook something random.

TV - Hannibal, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black (Roll on season 3), Law and Order: SVU, Parks and Recreation, Big Bang Theory, Brooklyn 99, How I Met Your Mother, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report (now the Nightly Show) and a bit of Stargate or Star Trek is always welcome.

Music - French Electronica (Air, M83, Daft Punk), Neo Classical (well thats what I call it anyway... Hans Zimmer, Two Steps From Hell and the like), Indie (I'm a child of the 90's), a wee bit of Metallica... a bit of most things.

Movies - Like my musical tastes my movie tastes are eclectic. Basically whatever catches my eye on netflix, quirky comedies such as those by Wes Anderson, Random foreign, anything scifi, and a bit of action are always must sees. I have a cineworld card and a GFT membership so see most things I want to and some I don't.

Books - Ian Rankin, Charles Stross, John Scalzi, Richard K Morgan, Peter F Hamilton, Guy Delisle, Jack Campbell (Comics too)
The six things I could never do without
Dogs (did I mention dogs?)
Family (well my brother and sister)
Cheese (I know it is food but it is a special food)... I'm managing to cope with vegan cheese so far... damn I've developed a dairy intolerance!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Important things... I'm an intellectual don't cha know ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Not in a bar... Somewhere not to busy or noisy... at the cinema, maybe playing online games or DnD with friends.
You should message me if
We have something in common and you fancy a chat or have a dog you want to go on a walk with on a Sunday morning to get the papers and sit in a cafe watching the world go by and discussing how our ideal utopian society would work and how humans are generally screwing things up.

Or if I messaged you and you got this far... even if it is just to say no thanks.
