My self-summary
Intelligent, fit, compassionate, aware, rationale, quiet, like pets, especially pooches (tho don't have any).

Semi retired aerospace engineer. Cancer survivor.

Seek down to earth female, big heart, curves a plus, don't expect you to be perfect (as many ads on this site seem to want me to believe!), I don't claim such.

Often play devil's advocate when presented with an argument or question, which you can probably see reflected on my comments to OkCupid questions.

Probably more witty with pen than tongue.
What I’m doing with my life
Have kept body fit since leaving high school. Enjoy watching sports, football all season, Basketball and Baseball during finals.

Volunteer tutor at library. Enjoy exploring alternate sls lifestyle.
I’m really good at
Compassion, seeing both sides of an issue, listening. Situps... well, true, a typical week, about 3- 5k of various ab exercises. Body not too flexible (contorsion-wise), though good at Power Yoga. Knowledgeable about different stock market / investment strategies, cars, computers.
The first things people usually notice about me
my smile. I'm a quiet guy, easily noticed I think. Aware. Slender & fit. Friendly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: "The Con Game and Yellow Kid Weil" (great book on unchanging human nature), "Your Money & Your Brain," "What Are the Odds?."

Movies: I like films that focus on triumph over adversity or that warms the soul. Suspense movies that are not too difficult to follow, with unexpected turns, such as "Premonition," "Training Day," "Matchstick Men." I liked "Fast & Furious" while constantly reminding myself I'm watching a fairy tale. Sentimental movies such as "Ghost," "King Kong," "The Man from Elysian Fields" (Mick Jagger great acting). Life's comedies that don't go overboard, such as "Youth in Revolt," "The Man who Loved Women" (French version). Following are movies that many liked and I did not care for: "Titanic," "Gravity."

TV: Jimmy Kimmel opening monologue, News, SNL, Twilight Zone reruns, History Channel, miss CNN Crossfire.

Food: Thai, Seafood, Italian, Mexican. Sushi - ugh! Sweets like cookies - my weakness.

Music: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, 70's & 80's music. Ella Fitzgerald Jazz. George Ezra (is this guy a one-hit wonder?).
Six things I could never do without
My health / fitness, Google, smartphone, Trader Joe's, talk radio, heavy petting, and a mid-day siesta.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Staying healthy and fit. stock market.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully heading to my neighborhood pub for TGIF.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've typed on a Dvorak keyboard for 30 years.
You should message me if
Well…. if you're interested in my profile and like my photos would be a great start. You have kids is a plus, preferably good ones. And my answers to OKC's questions appeal to you.

And please let's not waste each others' time if you are:

a smoker or alcoholic
full time couch potato
a different age than listed on your profile
Up to your ears in debt from poor money management.

Now, would be good if you are better than me at bringing up / talking about feelings between us. Otherwise, normal, reasonably balanced life, no major weirdness, relatively happy, clear thinking...I am all of that and more.

interested?... send a message..
The two of us
