WHAT DO WE WANT?
to meet someone in seattle for a beer, or a rock show, or riding bikes, or playing music, or playing pinball, or building something, or learning something, or throwing rocks, or smashing things, or all or none of the above.
WHEN DO WE WANT IT?
detailer/porter at a car dealership
newspaper ad sales
materials testing engineer
product design engineer
i moved to seattle in april. i was born and raised in st. louis and had been living there "professionally" for ten years and things just weren't going the way i expected them to. i was working on a project with a startup company (i know, everyone has a startup company) that wasn't going anywhere, i was working a contract job at a soul crusher to pay my bills and that was coming to an end. all my friends started having kids, girls kept telling me "no" when i asked them out, and people kept getting shot. since i was going to be unemployed looking for work anyway, i figured i might as well be unemployed looking for work in seattle instead of unemployed looking for work in st. louis.
i recently began waiting tables at a busy south lake union restaurant. i'm not a fan.
also, TV's andy daly performed an improv scene on matt besser's improv4humans podcast based off an intro question that i wrote
there wasn't a section for "my proudest moment" so i'm putting that here
i was raised on a healthy diet of MST3k and the marx bros., monty python and the talking heads.
i've read a lot of isaac asimov. he loves to use the word "sardonic".
i've also read a lot of edgar allen poe. he loves to use the word "ejaculate".
in seattle i'm a fan of:
watching B-movies with a pitcher of PBR at the tin hat in ballard
seeing some ridiculous karaoke at shanghai room in greenwood
playing bubble bobble at add-a-ball in fremont
seeing metal bands and punk bands play at the kraken in u-district
seeing live in-studio sessions at KEXP
shouting "repo man" quotes at the bartender at cozy nut in greenwood
and anyplace that has pinball.
