My self-summary
Aside from a three month stint learning how to bootstrap yield curves in London, I've been living in the East Village since I graduated college in 2008. I love walking around, exploring the city (want to trek to the exotic corners of Brooklyn and Queens), and sampling New York's great restaurants (and, let's be honest, the food trucks). I'm a devoted Greenmarket fan who's itching to find a spot that rivals London's Borough Market, which is perhaps my favorite place in the world. I sport Sperry Top-siders and have an immense gratitude for the inventor of Tide pens (mustard and I have a love-hate relationship). I grew up just outside the Catskills and went to college in Pittsburgh. This combination has given me a great appreciation for the outdoors, the Steelers, and cheap six-packs. But, for the record, I take my scotch neat and my martinis with a twist.

I once walked 11 miles for a sandwich. It was worth it.

I love traveling and recently took a trip to South Afica and Mozambiquen. I'm currently planning a trip to Vietnam (suggestions appreciated). Whether it be an afternoon in the park, taking a jog along the East River, or going to a ball game, I enjoy being outside. That said, I don't wear sunscreen as often as I should.
What I’m doing with my life
Equity research (covering internet stocks), though I'm mulling business school (partially because this would afford me a few months of travel). Eventually like to work for myself. Possibly in a food truck.
I’m really good at
Reaching things on the top shelve, making people laugh, shucking oysters, making slightly obscure pop culture references.

I'd like to add making guacamole to this list, but that's a work in progress.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shows: Arrested Development, Arrested Development, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Game of Thrones, Summer Heights High, Glee, and Arrested Development.

Books: The Signal and the Noise, A Confederacy of Dunces, The Catcher in the Rye, Me Talk Pretty One Day, A Farewell to Arms. Not books per se, but The Economist, Grantland, the Dining & Wine and Travel sections of the New York Times, NY Mag's Approval Matrix and Grub Street.

Films: The Graduate, The Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction, Fired Up, American Beauty, A Brief Encounter, Doctor Zhivago, Bridge on the River Kwai.

Neither are favorites, but given the choice between Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, I'm solidly in the Billy Madison camp.
