My self-summary
So this is where most people blather on about looking great in a tux and jeans, long walks on the beach, lazy Sundays, breathing air, blah, blah, blah...so, to avoid being Captain Redundant, I'll just say that among other things I'm a very good conversationalist, I like sarcastic/geeky humor, hiking, kayaking, sailing, live music, dogs, travelling to different countries and love NYC for all it has to offer. It really is a procrastinator's utopia, the pinnacle of convenience.

I just left a global software company to build a startup. Time for a change. Still, I'd rather be making films. Being a filmmaker would be my answer to the dream job question.

Who am I looking for? Intelligence and integrity are a must, as well as being confident (but not conceited), grounded (but not boring), and passionate/creative (but not crazy!) Looks are important as well in that there has to be a strong physical attraction in addition to a deep mental connection in order to create real passion.

Bottom line - can we learn from each other as well as crack each other up until it hurts? And while I love watching drama on the big screen, I'm not a fan of it in a relationship, so if you're someone who thrives on it, we're definitely not a match.
What I’m doing with my life
At the moment, typing into an online dating site with a silly name.
I’m really good at
catching bullets with my teeth.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my red cape.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Mostly read on the interwebs now but....The War of Art, The Alchemist, The Singularity is Near, books on relativity, Wired, Economist, Engadget....

Music is a tough one...with the proliferation and ease of buying digital downloads over the past 5 or so years, I've become somewhat of a fast food junkie across the spectrum depending on my mood. (rock, pop, electronica, classical, blues, etc.) But there will be no Britney, Lady Gag-a or country in my library. Ever.

Movies...so many to list but at the risk of being cliche and obvious: Godfather, American Beauty, Schindler's List, Billy Elliott, Up (anything from Pixar, except Cars 2), Shawshank, Lord of the Rings, 2001 Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove, Spaceballs, Braveheart, Hurt Locker, Moon, Pan's Labrynth, Star Wars IV, Inglorious Basterds (only QT movie I like besides Dogs), Drive, Whiplash,

TV (current/past)...Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, House of Cards, Veep, Family Guy, Curb your Enthusiasm, SIlicon Valley, Robot Chicken, BSG, Six Feet Under, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Walking Dead...

Food...anything Italian or Mexican (I love spicy food). Although I typically try to eat healthy as much as possible (and by that I don't mean a diet coke w/ my chili cheese fries ;)
The six things I could never do without
Good friends
Film
Music
Central Park
Internet
Jelly Bellys (except for the nasty popcorn flavored ones)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
not thinking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is going to stay that way.
You should message me if
you're a psychic and can tell me the numbers for tomorrow's mega lotto. OR...you can engage in an intelligent, passionate conversation, like to travel, are mostly drama-free and most importantly basically just "get it" when it comes to living life.
