My self-summary
I aspire to be as respected as Mother Theresa, as powerful as Stalin, and as beautiful as Margaret Thatcher. Space fascinates me while also scaring the bejesus out of me. I have a renaissance-style portrait of me and my animals hanging in my apartment. I don't take myself seriously and don't get along very well with people who do. Banned from Tinder for being sassy.

Someone once said that my soul is a glittery disco queen. My best friend has said that I have "the personality of a 3D movie with the chairs that shake." I'm introverted but people emphatically disagree and claim the opposite. I like being alone/sitting in quiet comfort with others but I also like to laugh uproariously. I've been told that I'm fun to be around, curious, cheeky, nurturing, warm, and impish. Maybe you'll agree or maybe you'll think I'm just the worst. Let's find out, shall we?
What I’m doing with my life
- Balancing my four humours
- I have a degree in history and I'm currently going to school for social services work
- I do community outreach/ community development-y type things with seniors and caregivers
- I'm a single mom to four rescue animals and two fosters. My animals are #1 and I won't choose you over them.
I’m really good at
Empathy. Being a pet parent. Giving head massages. Handling crises. Being the cool aunt from the Big City to my nephew.

I'm bad at: computers and technology in general, fostering (I'm a two time foster fail), cutting mango (I fear it's too late for me to learn), and lots of other things, I'm sure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Benny & Joon, Stand By Me, The Breakfast Club, Teen Witch. I've never seen a Star War.

Music: My favourite concerts were by Yann Tiersen, Placebo, and Patrick Watson. I grew up listening to motown. I listen to a lot of 90s music.

Books: I own more non-fiction than fiction, and more stuff based on terrible world events than not. I love embarrassing and hilarious non-fiction.

TV: All the usual suspects plus Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and documentaries by Lucy Worsley and David Attenborough.

Food: Fruit. Crusty bread. Coffee.

Podcasts: Lore, Criminal, Sword and Scale, In Our Time: Science/History
The six things I could never do without
-Time alone/with my animals
-Coziness (emotional and physical)
-My rescue kitties and my rescue guinea pigs Neil deGrasse Tyson and Carl Sagan
-The satisfaction of ripping my bra off when I get home and flinging it across the room in a fit of celebration
-White noise all the time. I hate a quiet house
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Running away to a stormy coast; living on a houseboat; being a mountainman; the robot uprising; black holes; living in a lighthouse; how to become a NASA scientist with a degree in history; my strong maternal instincts towards Gollum; intersectionality, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching a documentary about telescopes or porphyria or volcanoes and drinking a tea
You should message me if
You think lounging in a park, watching documentaries, wrestling, eating food, watching movies, museuming, board gaming, and wandering sound fun. Kinky is a plus, but if that's all you can talk to me about I will scream like a banshee at you. Teach me something new (science, music, how to cut mango, etc) and I'm yours.
