I play a lot of Ultimate Frisbee despite the rain, snow or heat. I'm a computer nerd but I love public speaking and eloquent debate. I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it. I grew up in Minnesota, went to school and lived out on the East coast, spent a few years in Seattle and moved back to NYC a year ago.
I like meeting smart, passionate people who are happy with their lives. I love to cook and spend a lot of time pondering the zen of seasoning cast iron skillets. According to Meyer Briggs I'm an ENTP and I own that like Garfield owns hating Mondays or Steve Carell owns "that's what she said".
A partner in crime would be awesome. No, really, come rob a bank with me: I need a lookout.
To lift a quote from Sherlock: "Stop boring me and think. It's the new sexy."
For a job, I've worked on wall street, at major tech companies, startups and started a software company that helps utilities run their energy efficiency programs. Now figuring out my next company.
Movies: Super Troopers, Real Genius, The Saint (yes, I have a bit of a man crush on 80s Val Kilmer), The 13th Floor, The Big Sleep, Zero Effect, Pitch Black, Finding Nemo, Sneakers, Watchmen... many more.
Music: All over the place - here's a random recent track that I like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD3-uHHZ11A
Random Things: koala infestations, The Economist, xkcd, a softer world, saturday morning breakfast club
Food: I love all sorts of cuisines and love exploring new restaurants all over town and all over the world. In Seattle I was a human yelp but here I'm just starting to explore. Picking a favorite cuisine is super hard but if pressed, I'll go with Persian or Szechuan.
Round things - a frisbee, a cast iron skillet, blueberries
Wide expanses - new places and ideas to explore, the internets, hardwood floors
...you've either seen more of the world than just your home town or desperately want to. Your idea of an amazing meal is more than the Cheesecake Factory or TGI Friday's.
...you are curious and passionate about something even if it's not your job. You've figured out at least something about yourself, but might still not be sure who you want to be when you grow up.
