My self-summary
I'm a scenic artist (I paint theatrical and film sets) and musician who writes songs, plays guitar, piano, ukulele (poorly), mandolin (sorta poorly), and bass (uber poorly), as well as sings in a pretty badass band. I like adventure times, hearing good stories, reading great books, learning new things, and making music and/or art. I'm really into Disney, creepy stuff, seeing live music, weird jewelry, and trying to make people either laugh or think, both can be pretty rad, as well as run-on sentences.
What I’m doing with my life
Working with other badass artists and musicians, trying to learn and create as much as humanly possible. That and going to Disneyland A LOT.
I’m really good at
Making apt analogies, naming character actors, pun crafting, art (not the snooty kind, the fun kind), improvising songs about things that are happening, self-teaching, rolling blunts. On days that I feel like bragging, I would add singing, guitar, songwriting, painting, and design to the list.
The first things people usually notice about me
Me eyes. I'm told they're pretty blue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: Doctor Who, Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Louie, American Horror Story.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, the Birdcage, superhero flicks, horror films, sci-fi -- hard and cheesy alike, informative documentaries. This should be our first date conversation, really, because I can go on forever.

Authors: JRR Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, Sylvia Plath, Hunter S. Thompson, Henry David Thoreau, Irvine Welsh, Bill Bryson.

Music: Alkaine Trio, Against Me!, Mischief Brew, Frank Turner, Johnny Cash, the Lawrence Arms, Off With Their Heads, Streetlight Manifesto, Larry and His Flask, the Falcon, Fake Problems, Flogging Molly, Gaslight Anthem, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Bad Religion, Masked Intruder, Cheap Girls, the Flatliners, the Loved Ones, Dead to Me, Dear Landlord, Reel Big Fish, the Proclaimers, Gogol Bordello, Hot Water Music, Defiance Ohio, Beans On Toast, NOFX, Me First, Green Day, the Riot Before, Rise Against, Descendents, the Clash (duh), Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros (just started listening, loving it), the Bouncing Souls, Avail, the Misfits, the Pogues, the Dubliners, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb, Bomb the Music Industry!, Foxy Shazam, Sledding with Tigers, Amigo the Devil, Weezer, anything Dave Grohl ever has done or ever will do. Another great first date conversation, as I could go on forever and if you're not at least intrigued by the idea of listening to some of these bands, there prooobably shouldn't be a second date. Just saying. Bonus points if you know and love them, of course.
Six things I could never do without
My music library.
At least one musical instrument.
The thought of one day being able to own a dog.
A nice, solid pair of boots.
Tea or coffee, I'm a fiend for both.
My water bottle. I'm very needy in terms of beverages, it seems.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-- the "state of the World," not always negatively but often.
-- the exceedingly tangential tracklisting of the soundtrack for my life.
-- what my next song will be about/sound like.
-- how this or that works.
-- the next time I can go to Disneyland. Seriously, I have a pass I've used, like, three times and I'm very angry about it. Let's go.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing music, writing music, drawing, or working those craaaazy film/TV/theatre hours. No sleep 'til Union, baby.

If none of those things, then either Social Krista is having a beer at a show with her buds or Recluse Krista is smoking a blunt at home in a hole-y Rancid shirt watching documentaries and/or Disney films. Or sober and asleep early.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have stumbled across four exes on this site to date. Not to brag (about a pretty lame, meaningless fact) but we all share a very high match percentage rating, even the fellas I met in the real world first.
You should message me if
-- you can be silly with me.
-- you're actually looking for a relationship.
-- you believe in the words of Rob Gordon and like what I like.
-- you're excited at the prospect of maybe getting to know me.

-- if you just wanna jam sometime. Music friends are the best.
