My self-summary
I'm friendly, helpful, adventurous, and passionate. I believe I maintain a happy balance between adequate responsibility and enjoying the heck out of life!

I started life in Fort Collins CO, back when it was a little more of a ranching community - went to middle-of-nowhere (Socorro) New Mexico for 4 years of college, worked in New Jersey 3 years, moved to Denver area in 2013, and have really appreciated the unique aspects of everywhere I've been. I've traveled abroad a lot too and love the geographic and cultural diversity I've gotten to experience!

Motorcylces are huge for me, they are great for cheap commuting, for mountain exploration, for high adrenaline gp-style racing (I'm an MRA racer), and also really cool engineering. After motorcycles, I love science, research, and alternative energy projects. I do some experiments in my garage and of course a lot of research for work. Also, I play soccer in a couple different leagues around Denver (indoor and outdoor), and go play in the mountains pretty frequently (hiking, skiing, rock climbing, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, etc).

I want to settle down relationship-wise but not fall victim to a monotonous, routine life. I'm hoping there's a girl out there (You??) who feels the same way; who wants to be with someone, stable in the companionship, but not afraid of the wild and often awesome experiences that come from adventuring the world!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm getting my PhD researching modifications to enzyme-solvent systems to enhance the degradation of lignocellulosic biomass in order to mitigate atmospheric CO2 concentrations as well as our country's dependence on foreign petroleum. (studying ways to turn excess grass, wood waste, and etc into gasoline, diesel, plastics, and etc more affordably). I worked in industry for a few years (in NJ), and realized the PhD would open up a lot more fun opportunities for me so now I'm getting that, graduating soon, and looking forward to whatever happens next!
I’m really good at
being helpful, goofy, and problem solving MacGyver style.
The first things people usually notice about me
Definitely let me know! I guess maybe my energy? Or my enthusiastic *two thumbs up* gesture I like to use!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books (well authors anyway): David Eddings, C.S. Lewis, Asimov, and of course Bill Waterson to name a few

Favorite movies: The original Starwars trilogy, Without a Clue, Buckaroo Bonzai, TMNT, and Hunt for Red October.

Music: Pretty much everything. I really like the TSO/nightwish style music for background noise while working, Classic Rock goes with just about anything, Modern pop for social activities, and I'll put on some classical or Jazz occasionally when I'm feeling sedate (rare).

Food: Everything! I'll try anything at least once :) and for the most part I like it all. my specialty for cooking is chicken dishes, like alfredo's or casseroles. Also cheesecake! If I'm going out to eat I tend to favor authentic ethnic restaurants of all varieties.
The six things I could never do without
Cookie dough ;)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my research, how things work, and also how to build the best jetpack ever!
On a typical Friday night I am
"typical" doesn't really describe my life. Friday nights could be anything from working late, to board games, to soccer, to enjoying a beer and trivia with friends or really just about anything. I'm always up for new ideas too!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In lieu of putting some random private tidbit this section, I encourage you to ask a question as private as you dare and I will gladly answer it!
You should message me if like to smile! :) Girls who smile a lot are very attractive and hanging out with me I hope will only make you smile even more! want to! (Don't wait for me to message you - if you want to chat do it and bonus points for boldness - it would be great to hear from you!)
