My self-summary
Nothing makes me happier than having long conversations deep into the night about film, politics or whatever is going on in the culture. I believe if you have an interest in something you have to throw yourself into it deeply. I'm passionate about film. Talking about them, writing about them and seeing them. I love talking to people. I pride myself at being able to handle any social environment and always being able to make friends. That said, sometimes in a given situation I will ask myself: "What would Larry David do?" Don't worry though, I rarely act on that.
What I’m doing with my life
That's a loaded question.

I've been in LA for 11 years now. I pretty much love it here. I'm originally from NY and have the accent to prove it. I moved out here to pursue screenwriting. For a day job I worked at E! in their master control department. Unfortunately this meant I was forced to watch every single episode of the Kardashians. It's the main reason I'm glad to be done with that gig.

Focus changes in life. Over the last few years I've been concentrating less on screenwriting and more on writing personal comedic essays. I've performed them at storytelling shows across LA and NY and a piece of mine was recently published in a collection. I've also written about pop culture and film for various blogs and media outlets. I co-host a weekly pop culture comedy podcast for the Westcast Network. For Afterbuzz TV I hosted recap shows for Orphan Black, Masters of Sex and an Agents of Shield show for Collider.
I’m really good at
Telling stories. It's the one thing I know I'm truly great at. Be it on the page, on stage or at a party.

Writing. But I'm also very good at working with writers and helping them develop projects. I used to do this for a living and am thinking of getting back into it.
The first things people usually notice about me

The six things I could never do without
1. Movie theaters

2. Aroma, an amazing cafe I go to catch up with people or clear my head

3. Sardo's, a karaoke bar in Burbank where I met many great LA friends

4. Television. I'm probably the only person you know who still pays for cable

5. Telling stories

6. People
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next move and how to build a career on the things I care about.

Overthinking this profile.
On a typical Friday night I am
At dive bar grabbing a drink and having long debates with friends.

At the movies seeing whatever might have came out, be it a huge blockbuster or an arty indie.

Looking for some sort of “adventure” that will give me another great story to perform on stage.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m pretty much an open book. Ask away.
You should message me if
If you’re someone who appreciates the different interests of others.

If you're someone with a story to tell.

If you’re someone who thinks Annie Hall is a perfect film.

If you’re someone who believes in and is passionate about something...anything.
