Although I don't live there currently, I dearly love London and it would be great to meet somebody to hang out in the city with and explore, or maybe just to chill out with in a cool pub or cafe somewhere. And as well as all the typical things I love photography, art, science and history, so it would be great to find someone to go to a gallery or museum with too.
I'm also a freelance photographer on the side as well sometimes, but it's not a full time gig for me or anything. Eventually I'd like to move onto something more serious relating to photography as I really enjoy it.
Oh I should mention I'm a bit of a metalhead as well. Mostly Black Metal, Death Metal and Grindcore these days but I still enjoy the classics.
If I had to pic my top 10 favourite bands/artists right now I'd have to say: Radiohead, The Raveonettes, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, A Silver Mt. Zion, Carcass, Anaal Nathrakh, Agalloch, Altar of Plagues but I change my mind on this all the time.
Recently I've been also listening to a lot of PJ Harvey, Lykke Li, sleep ∞ over, Grimes, Purity Ring, Crystal Castles, oOoOO, How to Dress Well, Boards of Canada, My Bloody Valentine, Asobi Seksu, Boris, M83, Alcest and Ulver.
What it comes to books I've been a huge Terry Pratchett fan since I was a child, but to be honest I don't read a lot of fiction generally. Actually though if you want to recommend me a book you love then I'd be happy to hear it!
With Movies I love sci-fi and horror, especially when the two are combined. The original Alien is still one of my favourite movies of all time and I quite enjoyed Prometheus as well, even though everyone seems to hate it. Other movies I like include Blade Runner (I love cyberpunk!), The Matrix (just the first one), The Thing '82, Moon, Children of Men, District 9, Terminator 1 & 2, Ghostbusters 1 & 2, Das Boot, Dark Star, Star Trek II, Starship Troopers, Robocop, Back to the Future, Jacob's Ladder. Oh and of course The Lord of the Rings movies!
I also am a bit of a geek and like some anime as well, lots of Studio Ghibli of course but I discovered movies like Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor 2 when I was a teenager and I still enjoy them.
Although I don't watch a lot of TV these days but I've been keeping up with Game of Thrones (of course). I also liked Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes and still rate them fairly highly. But more than anything else I seem to enjoy British sitcoms: Black Books, Spaced, Father Ted, The IT Crowd, The Inbetweeners, Red Dwarf, Monty Python, Blackadder, Bottom and The Young Ones (RIP Rik) are the ones that come to mind. And naturally I enjoy some comedy panel shows like QI and Nevermind the Buzzcocks. Oh and some stand up is great too. Stewart Lee is my hero!
