My self-summary
I'm a crazy, socialist, hippie feminist who believes that everyone should be equal no matter their class, gender, race, whatever. I think we should be taking better care of our environment. I am a pansexual, polyamorous, genderqueer person (mostly femme) who would love to be living in a sex positive world.

I'm looking for relationships of all kinds right now, but I am also interested in finding someone to date who can understand that I work shift work and as such may not be as available as I would like to be. I can also be looking for casual sex or FWB type arrangements, but only if you've bothered to read this far.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently finished my degree in Women and Gender Studies, with a focus on sexualized/gendered violence and Trans* Identities. I also have a degree in English. I am hoping to complete a masters and pursue further studies in either Women and Gender studies or Ecocriticism, but that is on hold for this moment. I am also considering Social Work, and am looking to actually become fluent in ASL at sometime in the near future. I recently quit my second job at a movie theater and am focusing full-time on my job as a fundraising manager. I am an avid writer and am working on getting my work out into the world beyond the local circuit.
I’m really good at
I'm very good at making people see the best in themselves, as well as giving pep talks. I am however also very good at giving the "cut you off at the knees" stare when I'm over people's shit.

I am a very good writer, my strengths being in poetry and postcard fictions.

I am good at baking, knitting, and somehow making crafts that look a disaster at first turn out in the end.
I have a talent for sales and marketing.
The first things people usually notice about me
FIrst thing I want them to notice: My smile (and my hair, I've usually worked pretty hard on it)

First thing they actually notice: Probably my boobs

That and that I make random little noises (and meows)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favourite books are the Harry Potter series, anything by H.P. Lovecraft or Edgard Allen Poe, the Special-X series, and any novelization of my favourite shows. But then again, I've not really met any book I didn't like.

I also enjoy Shakespeare and various poets, my fav being e.e. cummings.

My favourite shows include Criminal Minds, Angel, Bones, CSI, Doctor Who, Sherlock, House, Grimm and RuPaul's Drag Race.

I'm not that picky with music, I'll try pretty much everything but my favourites are old school rock and classical (I play an instrument, I'm biased). I am a huge fan of mash-ups, remixes and covers as well.

I love japanese, chinese, indian and italian food, but I also like being surprised by my meals.

My favourite movies include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Inception, Repo the Genetic Opera, Chocolat, Sleepy Hollow or really anything by Tim Burton.
Six things I could never do without
I always want to have my cats (or in an emergency someone else's), my computer (for writing and for tumbling which is my somewhat guilty pleasure), movies (my passion), a good book, my ships....and I'm pretty fond of cuddles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Writing content, how to bridge the scenes I have written out for my book with actual plot, feminism as an identity and an idea, Trans* identities, the concept of queerness and many other far too meta shower thoughts.

Also all the fandom things. And cats.
On a typical Friday night I am
Crashing after what was hopefully a wonderfully productive week at work, trying to get caught up on my shows as well as my writing, or lighting up Excited Mental State. Sometimes I'm even staffing burlesques.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have major trust issues
You should message me if
You're looking for someone who loves intelligent conversation and theoretical discussions. If you like to talk about obscure shows, nerdy things, or costuming, if you don't mind that I'm a bit of a scatterbrain, but always mean well. You should message me if you are looking for someone who knows what she wants out of life, and only asks for openness in return. I don't do well with dishonesty.

You should message me if you are comfortable with polyamory, talking at length about feminism (real feminism) and queer issues, and should feel free to message me even if you're just looking for friends.
