My self-summary
I'm a passionate, intense kind of guy who puts a lot of thought into regular old things. Whether it's surprising someone special, arranging furniture, making mixed cds or working on a novel (17 chapters so far!). I try and pay attention to the little details and gestures that people often overlook.

I'm also really laid back and easy to get along with.

I enjoy.. Hmm. I'm more the spontaneous type who thinks little of heading out of town for the weekend, or taking in a metal show by a band I've never heard of before. I'll sometimes park on the far side of the parking lot just for the free exercise and the sights and sounds of people around me. But I also love just chilling on my front porch with a beer and a good pair of headphones on. So, kind of outgoing and ingoing at once.

My big thing at the moment, is doing renos around the house, and making each of my rooms look as awesome as they can be.

I'd describe myself as an outspoken introvert with strong spiritual beliefs who enjoys learning about the world and living on it.

Plus, sexy, charming, debonair, handsome, smart. All that jazz. ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Working. Reading. Living. Writing.
I’m really good at
Uhm, being modest.

Hopefully, you'll be finding that out for yourself.
The first things people usually notice about me
The cucumber I carry around in my (front) pocket.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is my favourite section to write in.. (cracks knuckles)

A Brief Theory of Everything by Ken Wilber, Valis by Philip K Dick, Perfume by Patrick Suskind, Hollow Man by Dan Simmons , The Prophet -- Kali Gibran. I read a lot of different things across most genres. Including junk mail and the back of cereal boxes.

Kung fu, horror, low budget monster movies and anything with a lot of pew-pew laser sounds and/or time travel. I enjoy watching anything original or with a lot of detail to appreciate. I'm not generally impressed by big blockbusters like Transformers, or films where it looks like the camera is being held by someone having a grand mal seizure. A good movie to me is like unearthing buried treasure.

Some favourites of mine include,

Donnie Darko, Carlito’s Way, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Iron Monkey, Braveheart, Inception, The Matrix, El Topo, True Romance, Tango & Cash, Conan the Barbarian, Star Wars, Gattaca, Interstellar. Visionary directors like Kubrick, Jodorowsky, Lynch, etc.

Cooking shows, cheesy infomercials, documentaries, Dragon's Den/Shark Tank, Game of Thrones... Six Feet Under, Twin Peaks, The Wire, Twilight Zone, Ted Talks... Random other things.

Anything from 50s bubblegum pop, R&B and crooners, to metal, jazz, rock, goth, industrial, 80s, early 90s alternative & grunge, some classical. A little opera. Arvo Part, Matthew Good, Boxer Rebellion, Bob Marley, Tool and Dead Can Dance. I listen to a lot of off-beat stuff. I'd probably tap my toe along to a drunken hobo playing a kazoo if he's making an interesting sound with it.

Bruschetta, garlic bread, pizza, Korean/Brazillan barbecue. Dim sum, Chinese... Italian is definitely my favourite category.

I love discovering those hole in the wall places that nobody has ever heard of, but where the food is spectacularly good and there aren't too many flies buzzing about.
The six things I could never do without
A warm, comfortable bed
Anatomical correctness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, actually. The meaning of it. Our purpose. What awaits us on the other side. Where stars came from, and where we will be in a thousand years.

The novel I'm working on.

Oh, and the next new thing I'd want to try cooking. I can also do an impersonation of the Swedish Chef in the kitchen, but I'd need a few drinks before that happens.
On a typical Friday night I am
Laying facedown on the bedroom floor naked, while Unchained Melody plays on an endless loop.
You should message me if
You think we could hit things off, and your sarcasm meter is calibrated correctly.

I'm hoping for someone kind and appreciative who I can goof along and share my life with. Spirituality is a big plus.
