I think the best test of character (on internet dating sites) is how we respond to people. If someone takes the time to write a message that is more than a few words long - I think it is only human to respond, even if the response is, "Thanks for the hello. I don't think we are a match, but I really appreciate that you reached out." Isn't that all that anyone deserves?
