My self-summary
Self-summary is probably the hardest part to write, I find. Most of the relevant info can be found around here anyway.
I just moved to Uppsala from Gothenburg for work, and would love to get to know some new people.

I am optimistic, dutiful, and actually not lazy.
I’m really good at
Analytical thinking & arguments, diplomacy (on a personal level, that is - though I have some nice suggestions for the middle east as well), making really strong coffee.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea actually. I'm not sure I get noticed a lot! So.. you tell me? (Seriously, I'd be really curious to know)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a) Well, don't read too much fiction and poetry anymore, but some literary interests include beat and dadaism. I very much enjoy reading music biographies and such, I can get almost ridiculous enjoyment from those! The latest novelist I read that I really enjoyed was Kurt Vonnegut and his "Slaughterhouse 5", I've since planned to explore his works more but I have unfortunately not had the time.

(b) "Once Upon A Time In America", "Wild at Heart", "Coffee and Cigarettes", "Trust", "Annie Hall", "Reservoir Dogs", "Day of the Dead", "Blood for Dracula", "DiG!", "Groundhog Day", "Synecdoche, New York".

(c) Music is very important to me. I tend to be drawn to stuff that's musically simple, but sonically challenging, so I'm into noise pop, space rock, drones, krautrock, shoegazing, dream pop, guitar heavier-indie pop, and some experimental music.
Favorite bands and artists include but are by no means limited to The Jesus & Mary Chain, Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spacemen 3, Spiritualized, Spectrum, Loop, Yo La Tengo, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Kraftwerk.
I used to play in a band, writing and recording a few songs. Nowadays I mostly play acoustic guitar by myself, I'm trying to learn some proper fingerpicking but it's hard for a lifelong hammerer!
The six things I could never do without
Well, I actually think there's very little anyone couldn't do without. But there are some things I would never thrive without, at least:
(1) Intellectual stimulation. (2) Music. (3) The morning newspaper. (4) Coffee - and lots of it! (5) Decent company. (6) ?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Metaphysics, music, philosophy, science, politics the state of the world and its future, people, video games, sex. Not necessarily in that order and sometimes mixed with each other.
On a typical Friday night I am
Exhausted and probably conserving energy for Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
... that I'm pretty easily convinced to admit private things once I know you.
You should message me if
... you like guys who are horribly bad at self-promotion.
