My self-summary
A brief history of me runs as follows. Graduated uni with no real idea what to do (temp jobs in a zoo and book shop), fell into a Teaching Assistant position, thought I'd become a teacher, moved to Birmingham to train, stayed there 3 years, qualified as a teacher, threw a dart at a map, moved to Cairo as a primary school teacher (love my year 3's at the moment) where I've been for 6 months now.

Currently living in Cairo, looking to move back to the UK this summer. UPDATE: Moving to Nepal - home of mountain goats and Mt Everest. If you live in Nepal look me up.

I haven't got my life planned out but tend to take each day as it comes. Sometimes I wish I was more organised, but then where would be the fun in that.

I tend to be quite shy in groups of new people. I enjoy meeting new people. I enjoy my job but try hard to keep my personal and professional lives separate (still not sure if I've quite got it yet).
What I’m doing with my life
Going to Nepal in September. Trying to learn a bit of arabic, work, gym, work, trying to work out where in the world to go next. Back in blighty I play archery and would like to continue when I get home.
I’m really good at
Building, breaking, fixing and fiddling with computers. Learning a word a day in a new language. Reading for pleasure. I can eat jaffa cakes like there is no tomorrow. Singing along badly to Disney songs. I can use a semicolon properly thanks to the oatmeal.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am normally happy and optimistic. I don't do stress.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favourite author is moving from Terry Pratchett to Iain M Banks at the moment. I have all the Discworld novels (Can't really have a favourite but I think Carpe Jugulum is probably the best of the witches series). I had the privilege of reading the Harry Potter novels in school as they were released. I love the LOTR/Silmarillion/Hobbit and have a few of the unreleased stories and background books.

I will eat pretty much anything, but love curry, lebanese food, chinese, tapas, roasts, cakes. Basically food is good. I am usually pretty lazy about making exciting food for myself, but quite enjoy cooking for more than one person.

Last year I didn't have a TV and this year being in Cairo means I only get BBC world news and arabic channels. At home I like the documentary channels, sci-fi series, QI, Nevermind the buzzcocks. Not a large film watcher at home. I like the cinema.

My listening habits run from Stevie Wonder to Aqua to Fintroll to R.E.M. to The High Kings to Metallica (rock, metal, ska, punk, jazz, europop, classical, country, folk, hip hop, indie). Not a huge fan of Urban R'n'B (Uh) music. Oh, just remembered I own and play (badly) a banjo. Live music is good. I try and do a festival a year but real life seems to get in the way of that. I did go to Download last year though. Would like to do latitude again this year.

Last film I saw was the Hobbit and loved it.
Six things I could never do without
(Everything else can be got with phone, wallet and keys)

I think that's the necessities covered.

I also have my motorbike but that's not in Cairo thank god.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My brain has a mind of its own, so I spend lots of time thinking about many different things for short periods.

I guess that's a long winded way of saying my mind wanders.
On a typical Friday night I am
In the middle of my weekend, chillin' out maxin' relaxing all cool, watching some dr who, or going out to see friends, or playing computer games. I try to keep busy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Can you keep a secret..........Well so can I.
You should message me if
you want to. Who am I to tell you what to do with your life. I guess you signed up to to OKCupid for a handful of reasons, and odds are they are similar ones to me.

If you want we can go off and see the world, get takeaway, have deep and meaningful discussions over the internet or simply swap bad jokes.
