My self-summary
I am quiet but passionate, easy going, creative and relaxed. My preference is to relate one on one over parties and crowds. One crowd I do enjoy is at Fenway Park. My positive traits include spontaneity and being a good listener. I'm grateful that I still have my health, looks and energy as I age.

I've been a freelance audio engineer for many years, and now I'm in Boston, teaching my craft. Work is a high priority for me. Sometimes all my free time will be taken up with a project. You shouldn't expect constant attention from me.

Weekend companionship is where I would like this adventure to start. At the moment I feel very open ended about where that might lead, no expectations. I'm ready to travel, anywhere, anytime, or just stick around Boston; I feel I have not discovered all the city has to offer and I'm open to exploring.

You like to relax by watching movies and baseball. I hope you live a healthy lifestyle but also enjoy indulging from time to time. To keep us active you can take me dancing, hiking (the city or the country), biking, to the beach and to yoga. Hearing music is a more of a way of life than a pastime for me, and I'm also up for all the other arts; theater, movies, museums and curling up with a good book. In my perfect world you like to cook (or like to try new restaurants).
What I’m doing with my life
My life is in transition, but that is the norm for me. For most of my adult life I have tried to nurture and support talented musicians. Now I am mentoring young adults who wish to enter my profession and it is a great privilege to see them mature and achieve their first successes.
I’m really good at
Being humble? Is than an oxymoron?
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have so many favorites in each of these categories... will I ever find time to list them?

Books; The Idiot, Angle of Repose, Pride and Prejudice or anything by Austen, Lolita, Moby Dick, Life of Pi, Atonement, The Executioner's Song, Rebecca, Wuthering Heights, Tale of Two Cities, Anna Karenina, The Once And Future King, PD James, John McPhee, Oliver Sacks, David Sedaris, Susan Orleans, all those New Yorker people...

Movies; La Dolce Vita, The Misfits, Dr. Strangelove, Lolita, Life of Pi, Atonement, Annie Hall, Stardust Memories, Chinatown, Lincoln, Magic Mike, Delicatessen, Bang the Drum Slowly, This Is Spinal Tap, Claire's Knee, Best In Show, There's Something About Mary, Marx Brothers, The Thin Man, The Year of Living Dangerously, North By Northwest, Notorious, Bedazzled (the Peter Cook original), Secrets and Lies, Last of the Mohicans (gotta read that)

Shows; I hope we are talking TV and not Broadway (though I did just enjoy Book of Mormon, but I'm more an off Broadway type), anyway, Mad Men, Justified, Nashville, Dexter, Homeland, The Good Wife, Breaking Bad, Shameless, Dancing With the Stars, Downton Abby, early House, Elementary, any National League baseball (still hate the DH), but go Red Sox!
Six things I could never do without
Water to drink and to swim in.
Bread (I could make it in prison - OK, maybe house arrest at La Brea Bakery)
Being outdoors
I spend a lot of time thinking about
food, music, how to be nice to myself
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to try to be perfect, but now I'm over it.
You should message me if
you want to. Go ahead!
