My self-summary
I talk too much, all the people say. 4 out of 5 dentists agree, "That's that guy that talks too much." I tend to repeat stories over and over again, without realizing it. In fact, at some point I will ruefully explain that I retell stories, only for you to interrupt me and say, "I know. You've told me that before."

If you notice, all my photos are blurry and indistinct... that's because I am hideous and deformed. I also live in a bell tower.

While I like to think of myself as creative, I'm really more of a synthesist. It's not a bad thing to be, but the grass is always greener, eh? I used to consider one of my greatest failings was my fear and avoidance of conflict; I felt like I would do anything to avoid confrontation. After a few years of bouncing drunken assholes I don't feel that way anymore, but I'm still pretty damn subby at heart.

My favorite song by any random band is probably the poppiest, most overplayed one from the album where they "sold out". I'm so deeply ashamed of this that I tell everyone I meet.

I also retell the same stories over and over again.

I am hot soup, lady with a baby, and cheap tattoos
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working for a theatre union. Also, I draw purty pictures. As it turns out, I like climbing fake rocks.
I’m really good at
Random trivia, history, art, geekery.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have bright red hair. Well, had. The time of red hair is now past, and I should really update my photos to reflect that.

I am reliably informed, however, that many people assume I'm a trans-man when they meet me, so that might be relevant. I'm not offended; really, it's quite complimentary.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(A) "Little, Big" by John Crowley (B) Horror and SF (C) Right now? Bossa Nova NuLounge (D) Intense cheeses

I grew up in a house with about 10k books, mostly speculative fiction, history (focusing on early medieval and WWII), and science (primarily astronomy/astrophysics and biology/paleontolgy). I've expanded my horizons since then, especially in the humanities, but sf still forms the bulk of my reading.

Looking at my iTunes list, what I have the most of are (in descending order) Annie Lennox, David Bowie, Stéphane Pompougnac (Hôtel Costes), Beatles, Beastie Boys, and Gogol Bordello. Read into that what you may.
Six things I could never do without
I could never survive without the Six Classical Simple Machines.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Good lord, just about everything.

Currently I'm obsessed with Women's Flat Track Roller Derby! Best. Sport. Ever.

I've just noticed that people I have a high match percentage with tend to list a fondness for cheese... I've never encountered any cheese-related questions, and boy howdy have I done alot of them. How do all those other questions somehow factor into a preference for tasty cheeses? Or am I infering correlation where none exists? Perhaps cheese desire is ubiquitous throughout okcupidity, and I, by primarily paying attention to people with high percentage match, have gamed my data beyond repair?

Does anyone else remember Radiskull and Devildoll?
On a typical Friday night I am
Some form of hanging out with friends, usually fairly casual.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My parents run an annual gaming convention.

I would probably fail a Voigt-Kampff test.
You should message me if
Any old reason, I suppose. Though it would be nice if you had something to say other than "hi". And you probably shouldn't mind if I'm distant or don't seem interested... I'm primarily on this site for the tests, and if I'm on, I'm probably doing tests. Or looking at other things. It's a big, wide (world-wide, even) series of tubes.
