"A very enquiring mind, curious about everything and with very little or no moral limitations...very inspiring!" (A.Einstein)
"Funny as hell! I laugh my head off when he is around...what a crazy mudafucka! " (Pope Benedict XVI)
"I don't really know him that well on a personal level, but I definitely admire his body of work in the design field, which has become a backbone material for my researches..." (Le Corbusier)
" He is a real gentleman, romantic, confident and I feel safe in his strong arms... and he is pure fire, if you know what I mean!" (M.Monroe)
"Leo is such stuff as dreams are made on..." (W.Shakespeare)
I jump from the ingredient list on cereal boxes to Tolstoj's "War and Peace", avoiding most of the bestsellers.
I have learnt to understand history better on "Asterix" than on school books and I think C.Schultz's "Peanuts" taught me a lot, as much as Aristotle and Nietzsche did all together.
I am still attached to some books I have read several times (Farenheit 451, La Coscienza di Zeno, 1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, Barney's version, The Idiot, Heart of Darkness and all Fante's and Bukowski's work just to mention some) but generally I like to change quite radically topics and genres, constantly hoping for new epiphanies...My newly developed interest for evolutionary biology added to scientific and philosophical matters has driven me to explore different authors in the caliber of Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Dan Dennett, Christopher Hitchens, Lawrence Krauss and Neil De-Grasse Tyson... I am still a rookie in the scientific world, so I need to start from the popular scientists before approaching the real deal :)
Similarly to my choices in literature, my approach to the seventh art is quite eclectic. After several years and trials I can only be sure that I do not like musicals. I am a lover of different film formats such as short movies, ads, documentaries, video installations etc...
Breaking Bad, Shameless (US&UK), Six Feet Under, Mad Men, The Office (UK), Extras, Life's Too Short, An Idiot Abroad, Curb Your Enthusiasm, How's Made, virtually every single TED Talk and whatever Sir David Attenbourough has ever produced in the field of nature documentaries are my first hand choice :) I love stand up comedy, I adore the undisputable genius that is George Carlin, followed by Bill Hicks, Louis CK, Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Ricky Gervais and Totó above several other performers that gifted humanity with the most powerful weapon ever conceived: irony.
I collect every kind of music, sound or noise produced by human being. I'll give a second chance to (almost) every artist, but don't ask me to listen to Eros Ramazzotti... :-)
I am a food explorer... There is no dish or ingredient I wouldn't try once, no matter how strange it might look or smell. I travel miles to get inspired by new weird and delicious flavors. I have already tasted things that you probably wouldn't wanna know, but still my curiosity is very much alive... :) I love every single kind of cuisine and I think every one of them has something good that deserves to be tried... Nevertheless, being italian, I cannot deny my culinary background that I still place on top of the podium..
