My self-summary
Hey there! My name's Matt, and I'm a part time student and full time restaurant person trying to optimize my current and future experiences. I'm a very active person, and I enjoy just about anything physical or outdoorsy. I've recently become increasingly aware that I haven't done a lot of exploring in my life so far, so travel has become a greater priority to me. So let's go somewhere or something!

I'm a firm believer in the 'fuck yes, or no' rule (http://markmanson.net/fuck-yes). I also don't believe in fighting/intense arguing in relationships, and prefer to resolve things calmly and rationally. Much as I love adventure, I also love spending extended periods of time cuddling and not doing much else.

When I'm not working or going to school, I'm typically playing some sport or another (usually hockey), reading, watching netflix, or half assedly trying to learn French. Occasionally drinking in bars as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Searching for grace in the grind.
I’m really good at
parallel parking, spelling, cooking (used to be a chef), touching my nose with my tongue, hitting my head on low door frames, being the person who remembers to bring plenty of water on miscellaneous adventures, convincing myself that I'm a good singer/freestyle rapper, spending irresponsible amounts of time on reddit, and a number of other random things that may or may not become me, as well as some things that just wouldn't be appropriate to share with the general public.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my height. I'm pretty tall.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: "I was elected to lead. Not to read!"

Just kidding, the list includes (but is not limited to): The Tao of Pooh, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Slaughterhouse 5, Kitchen Confidential, Friday Night Lights, The Art of Racing in the Rain, and pretty much everything by Hermann Hesse.

Movies: Blow, Mighty Ducks, V for Vendetta, Pulp Fiction (Hell, most any Tarantino flick), Up, Good Will Hunting, In Bruges, Cool Runnings, Remember the Titans.

TV: The Wire, Top Chef, Daily Show, 30 for 30 Documentaries, PBS Documentaries, Archer, Vikings, Call of the Wildman, Mind of a Chef, Game of Thrones, 30 Rock

Music: This changes a lot. I like a lot of hip hop (distinctly different from rap), jam music, folk, bluegrass, rock, a littler bit of country, and classical if I'm in the right mood.

Food: If it involves scallops, I'm probably gonna be pretty damn excited about it.
The six things I could never do without
On a typical Friday night I am
Hauling ass on the Frita Batidos mini bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm super ticklish
You should message me if
You like to flip paradigms (I like people who like to flip paradigms).
