After 25 years in that world, I am now retired.
I can find humor in almost anything. And I'm likely to just say it in most circumstances. Anybody who can make me laugh is my friend for life. I like all kinds of humor, ranging from slapstick to Seinfeld.
I also like finding out new things and especially like living in a time of iPhones and computers, where any fact is findout-able in less than 90 seconds.
Lastly, I am 69-but not really. Think of me as more like 59, because I didn't get married and have children (or even think about it) till I was 40.
Now, turned out to be the best thing I ever did and I'm deeply grateful for it. But that delayed aging onset. I spent my 20s and 30s traveling(wandering).
My two children (one of each flavor) are launched and I love being with them whenever we can get our schedules to match up.
I am (too) analytical, funny, and curious about many many things. I'm looking for the right woman to be with long term.
And going to as many art openings as possible
For their sheer prose excellence: Cold Mountain, West With The Night. Plays that are poetry: Jasmina Reza-even before the last New Yorker article.
For more general interest: one whole shelf on 1st-2nd century(CE) Christianity.
Another whole shelf on Shakespeare related.
Anything on Medieval to Enlightenment history, especially the crusades. Also the Spanish "discovery" of the Americas.
Anything on the American Revolution, or very early California history.
Poetry: I scrape whatever comes by me for nuggets. Small collection only. If forced under pain of death to name someone - W.S. Merwin.
Just finished(almost): The Crusades by Thomas Asbridge
If they mean name 6 things in my life that I like best, well..they change.
