My self-summary
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you've got to be kind."
- K.Vonnegut

I don't identify as straight but I mainly date/am attracted to men. But I'm also interested in humans who come in pairs, and am open to all genders. It's been a while since I dated a lady on her own - I'm totally open to the idea, but would probably be (adorably?) awkward at first. I am interested in something casual but ongoing. Finding a couple with shared interests would be lovely.

My ideal relationship is a monogamish one - and I hit the jackpot on that. :)

I am happily partnered to/with a totally awesome fella, who is entirely aware and supportive of my profile on here. If you're looking for a primary partner/girlfriend/wife-type, I'm not your gal. But I'm interested in meeting good people for makeouts and more, and would love to develop an ongoing relationship(s) with a friend who's fun to pal around with, and also for that other stuff (I'm talking about the makeouts).

If you're looking for a unicorn, I highly recommend reading this Savage Love letter from a few years back.
What I’m doing with my life
Eating tasty food. Going on adventures. Reading. Yoga. Bike rides. Naps in the sun.

Oh, and sometimes I'm a lawyer. But one of the good guys, or at least I like to think so...
I’m really good at
Reading super fast. Reading super fast out loud, which isn't really useful but makes a good party trick.

Knowing lyrics to 90s pop songs. ... I'm NOT good, however, at naming the 90s artist whose song I am singing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Peaky Blinders, garlic naan, Archer, Ben Folds, red wine, The Departed, warm crusty bread, 80s pop, True Blood, Princess Bride (book AND movie), CHEESE, well-crafted cocktails, Arrested Development, a good salad, Muppet Christmas Carol, Prince, House, Newcastle Ale, Paul Simon's Graceland, Cake, cake, West Wing, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Importance of Being Earnest, fried green tomatoes with ranch dressing, ranch dressing in general, Pride and Prejudice (book and BBC version, Keira Knightley can suck it), sushi, Vonnegut, Friday Night Lights, public radio, Savage Love, bubble tea, XKCD.

Also yoga, baseball games, karaoke, and getting up before anyone else in the house.
Six things I could never do without
Sunshine, water, my family (biological and self-made).

Beyond that, I think I could manage.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Queerness. Cats on the internet. Queer cats on the internet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Don't I know you from the cinematographer's party?
You should message me if
- you don't mind that it sometimes takes me a while to respond to messages

- you're local. I'm sure there are a ton of really awesome people in NY and CO and CA... but you live there and I live here, and that makes it really hard to meet you in person, which is ultimately what I'm interested in.

- you want to know more about how this open relationship business works. I can't tell you how it goes for everyone, but I'll happily chat about what we're learning works for us.

- you get all riled up talking about the bullshit that's the gender binary, or about how it doesn't make any sense for someone to be anti-abortion, but also support abstinence-only sex education and the death penalty.

- please DON'T message me with a one-liner, or if you're a <70% match, or if you're anti-choice, anti-equality, a Trump supporter, or generally a terrible person.
