My self-summary
I'm originally from Northern California but I've been living in NYC for thirteen years. I'm no laid back Californian. I have strong opinions and don't mind sharing them. I am full of sarcasm and have a smart mouth.

Despite that last claim, I can be shy---especially around new people. But once I get to know you, I don't shut up.

I am not religious. Never have been. Never will be. If you're down with Jesus---you're not going to like me.

I'm more winter than summer----more downtown than uptown.

I'm funny (people actually say that) and will make you laugh.

I'm interested in photography and learning how to play the guitar. I've attempted both---still attempting both.

I love Howard Stern and NPR equally.

I'm a loud sneezer.
What I’m doing with my life
Navigating the responsibilities of middle management while trying to stay sane.
I’m really good at
Making a mean vegetarian lasagna, taking care of Boston terriers, changing an alternator in '76 Honda Civic, playing DJ and making mixed tapes.
The first things people usually notice about me
My charming wit and impeccable manners. Honestly, I'm not sure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Sound and the Fury, A Farewell to Arms, Down by the River Where the Dead Men Go, Ham on Rye, A Prayer for Owen Meany, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Same River Twice, The Wanderers.

Movies: Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Rushmore, North by Northwest, Sleeper, Do the Right Thing, Pink Flamingos, Deep Throat, Rocky, The Breakfast Club, Clerks, The Empire Strikes Back, Jaws, Goodfellas, lots of documentaries, any Bogart or noir. I'm not a movie snob, I'll see just about anything.

TV: I have a TV and I watch it regularly. Apparently this makes me a social pariah in the OKC world. I can live with that.

Music: The Velvet Underground, Big Star, The Meters, Neu!, The Rolling Stones, Au Pairs, Reigning Sound/Oblivians, The Dirtbombs, Hound Dog Taylor, Gram Parsons, The Replacements, Richard Buckner, TV on the Radio, Thin Lizzy, Brian Eno, George Jones, The Stooges, Karen Dalton, Royal Trux, Coltrane, Pere Ubu, Tom Waits, Swell Maps, Patti Smith, Roxy Music, Buck Owens, Galaxie 500, Latin/Brazilian/African psych, Fela Kuti, Ty Segall, The Cramps, Bettye Swann, John Lee Hooker...blah, blah, blah.

Food: I'm a sucker for good Mexican (not an easy find in NYC). Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, BBQ, oysters, pizza (Paulie Gee's/Roberta's), Indian...
The six things I could never do without
music/records
beer
my dog
baseball
friends
laughter
air conditioning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people on OKC would say that they only brush their teeth once a day---yuck! How many of you go out during the week and stay in on the weekend---don't you people work?! Why don't all those tiny house hunters just get a Manhattan studio.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home making dinner and listening to records or watching baseball or a movie. If I'm not doing that, I'm out with friends and most likely checking out a band. Maybe something else. Is Friday night ever typical?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hate wearing pants.
You should message me if
Especially: You love music, baseball and fall as much as I do.

Definitely: You are smart, witty, funny, quirky, artistic and love flea markets/record stores.

-You live in Brooklyn, Manhattan or Queens.

-You know that a lot is always two words.
