My self-summary
The mountains crafted me - daily dips in the Sierra water, the trials and tribulations of snow-life and shovels, summer hikes and wildflowers, along with a loving and hard-working family helped to nurture me. I bopped to the coast for a spell, hung my hat in the bay for college. Tahoe for ten, back here for a while… I’m a California girl-- one who layers with merino wool, has got tricks up her sleeve, likes both logistitics and go-with-the-flow, turns mundane into a fiesta. Don’t worry, I can shmooze with power people in the big city, but am more likely to be rocking a flowy skirt, glistening-like-the-morning-dew and inspiring passionate action and conversation, than executing tactical business deals and blinging everyone out.

Interesting travel opp’s around the world have been fun (some related to music, some work, some pure pleasure)… saved a couple lives along the way, and put out some fires (literally). I sing, brew elixirs, write, totally get the hots for awesome dudes, contemplate change and influence, and mediate [metaphoric] wolves (on occasion). Been woking on my tele turns, and my track stands lately.

Turn ons? Pizazz paired with productive. Appreciation of awesometown, and crazytown, and the variety of weather, routine, emotion, etc. in the mix. Living in the moment, and contemplating more. Passionate and poetic execution. Value of the creative (in both arts and engineering), and observation of a colorful installation piece, sharing of a critique on something mechanical. Co-commenting and learning from each other. Social responsibility. Compassion. Propensity to explore and find fun and adventure. Smarts, silliness, a sweet bass line, healthy good nourishment, a tasty microbrew, some sass and seduction, human spark. Being impressed and excited by another-
What I’m doing with my life
Pursuing the things that make me happy-- playing music, projecting and making things, fixing stuff, interacting in fun and memorable ways. I like to get into the backcountry and backpack, ski, hike, bike, enjoy the sun, rain and snow. I also really like my job working with college students in outdoor leadership and wilderness medicine. I contribute to a vibe of creativity, and being part of a team that works hard, enjoys, has fun, adventures, and makes an impact.
I’m really good at
... brainstorming, smiling, makin' people feel good, adjusting to the environment, connecting people with experiences, musical improvisation, conversing, thinking about random things, finding pleasure in wondering and wandering...
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably this authentic smile. I tend to make up useful words, which make their way into others' vocabulary. and that I'm an optimist and pretty positive...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Stacked high, books l like the best make me think and ask questions, I read fast, and then forget. Movies are fun! I learn from and get ideas from podcasts like Dirtbag Diaries, the Mystery Show, 99% Invisible, Steangely Attractive Podcast, This American Life, NPR, and more....

Music - dig all sorts of styles-- equally seduced by grooves like Beats Antique, as I am the left-brain wizardry of the Punch Brothers mastery, as easy ride of the Stones, or poetic mastery of Joni Mitchell... and so much more... I like Jack White's projects, Lake Street Dive, tons of groups in the Americana Realm (milk carton kids, I'm with her, Wood Brothers). My earhole is usually teeming with some 70s soul...

Food? Fuyu persimmons, almond/chocolate/cranberry trailmix, burritos, clean and freshhhhh!
Six things I could never do without
endorphines, senses, good people, hearty laughter, sparkling smiles, mystery...
exercise, companionship, conversation, a headlamp, warmth, watercolors, instruments, mind, sunscreen, creativity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Strangely, silly-ly: little observations, and wondering who else notices them. I'm a very curious person.

Lately, compassion. How to live compassionately, and spark others too. It's the little things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching up with friends, headed off on an adventure, playing music in a fabulous venue, cooking up something delicious, discovering a hole-in-the-wall, enjoying the company I'm with, and making it memorable...
You should message me if

Woo me with a next step, or just say hey!
