My self-summary
Name is Sarah, pushing 30 and currently indulging my Peter Pan complex big style!

I have a BA in Media and English Literature from the University of Huddersfield.

I like a lot of different types of music (except most 'pop', hiphop and r'n'b) but i would always say that my musical passions lie in rock and metal. Favourite bands (this is only a minute taster) are Foo Fighters, Muse, Green Day, Nirvana, Maiden, Metallica, Journey, Biffy Clyro, The Joy Formidable, Blink 182, Paramore, Kiss, Sabbath, 3 Doors Down, 3 Days Grace, Letters To Cleo, Kings of Leon, Cher (i'd be sorry but i don't care, i love her!) and The Offspring - there are tons more, i adore music and couldn't live without it.

I love films! Especially ones that make the hair on the back of your neck go all tingly. I enjoy most types of film but am not a huge fan of the 'chick flick' (Bleurgh!) although there are a few oldies that are enjoyable. Couldn't possibly pick a favourite film but here are a few amazing ones..... Death At A Funeral (The Brit original), Ringu, Battle Royale, Crank, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hot Fuzz, Sean of The Dead, Run Fatboy Run, X-men (tril), Back To The Future (tril), Star Wars (the originals), Life of David Gale, Se7en, Office Space, Clerks, Clerks 2, Mallrats, Dodgeball, Zoolander, Run Lola Run, Pan's Labyrinth, Lilo and Stitch (Sssshhh!), Lord of The Rings (tril), Superbad, Pineapple Express, David Lynch films...... Gah! I could go on forever!!! However I HATE Hollywood remakes of good films! It drives me mad how they change things and make them suck ass!!

I like the word trinkett (although, fucked if i can spell it!!).

I enjoy writing and I like reading either horror, crime thriller or stuff with meaning - favourite books is another endless topic! Here's a few authors i love .... Terry Pratchett, Martina Cole, Patricia Cornwell, Marianne Keyes, Kathy Reichs, James Herbert, Jeff Lindsay and William Shakespeare.

Other hobbies include but are not limited to... camping, walking, taking pictures (i'm no good and don't really know what i'm doing but hey! It's my hobby! Haha!), mooching around with friends, going to the beach, playing on the Wii/Xbox/PS2, watching several US Tv shows, messing on the internet, going out with friends, pubs/bars, nights in and shopping.

I have recently discovered a love of tattoos. I currently have three (one on the back of my neck, one on my right ankle and one on my wrist) but i actually have at least 5 or 6 more in the works (i say in the works.... i mean saving up the money to get them done!) and will probably plan a few more in the meantime. I also like piercings, although i have been put off a bit since my navel bar was ripped out a few years back so currently just have my ears done. Do really want my tongue done though :)

Oh yeah, and when i'm bored i dye my hair random colours.

Ok, so that's a bit about me (in a round-about generic kind of way.) There's a lot more to me but i'll save that for later (don't want to bore you to death straight away do i? Haha!)

Basically i'm looking for someone honest, genuine and patient. Nice eyes, nice smile, good sense of humour and the ability not to lie with every word out of your mouth. (Ass you could crack walnuts with, big muscled arms and tattoos/piercings are considered a bonus but not necessary! Teehee!)
Also i'm a bit picky about grammar etc. I don't care if people make genuine mistakes, or if they type with the odd 'lol' or 'u' etc but if your sentances generally 'luk lik dis, plz dnt bova' to messege me. If it takes more concentration to read someone's email than it does to get to know the person who wrote it then for me it's just not worth the effort. Sorry.

Ok, so if i've not terrified you off already then feel free to messege me. I do bite, but this is an email, so you're perfectly safe ;) x

I am sarcastic, opinionated, and argumentative

Ok figure it's time for an update.
I've now been back in Brighton for four years and i absolutely love the place! The diversity of the people and places in and around the city are fascinating and for my Uk home i couldn't ask for more.
I have recently re-evaluated what i want from my life and have basically decided i no longer want to work in film/television - ok that's not strictly true, I'd love to work in film but due to the competition aspect and the fact that the industry is based on another continent, plus the involvement and time required to do the job well i have chosen something else. I am now aiming to do a course enabling me to teach English as a foreign language within the next 2-3 years and also saving as much as i can. The plan is to then bugger off to Thailand, spend a while travelling round South East Asia and then getting work teaching English somewhere over there to fund the rest of my travels. The plan is to start with a year over there and see what happens. If i love it i may not come back, just keep teaching and travelling my way round the world.
As you've probably guessed this has had somewhat of an impact on my relationship requirements. It wouldn't be fair to either me or any potential partner to get seriously involved then in 3 years say 'right, I'm off! Ta-ra chuck!'
Then again, never say never. So i suppose what I'm looking for is mainly friendships. Someone who i can hang out with, enjoy doing stuff together and just be comfortable with. If anything progresses from that then I'll cross that bridge when/if i come to it i guess.
The reason for this update is mainly to be honest with anyone reading my profile. I've gone on about how important and vital honesty is to me when looking for qualities in a partner so i guess it's only fair to give the same in return.
What I’m doing with my life
At the minute i am unable to work due to bad health, but am in the process of trying to get the help i need to return to the world of employment as soon as humanly possible (being off sick is BORING as hell!!)
As mentioned above my dream job would be working with directors I admire on quality films and TV shows. However unfortunately this dream job is not only pretty much unobtainable but also doesn't gel with my first dream - travel to Asia, Thailand in particular. So i have decided to train to teach English as a foreign language, save up as much as possible and then go.
I’m really good at
Analysing films - whilst watching them - drives my mates crazy!!!

I have a unique talent for writing bitchy emails and letters. My mam calls it eloquence! (I think she's being sarcastic lol!)

Listening. It is an over-rated skill and i value it.

Being honest.... to the point of brutality at times :-s (not intentionally) - again it's something i value.

Recently i was told that i am incredibly perceptive and can hone in on people's trigger points very quickly although I'm not entirely sure whether that was meant as a compliment or an insult! Haha!

Think that's about it, although i'm sure i must have some well hidden well of talent hidden somewhere.... surely no-one can be this hopeless?
The first things people usually notice about me
My varied use of the English language? I can combine an extremely eloquent and sophisticated sentance, pull it off with grace and dignity before "ruining" it by ending it with an expletive. Ha! Load o' bollocks if you ask me! ;)

My eyes? They are blue. Apparently sometimes they are very blue... whatever that means?

Didn't really know how to answer this as i have never had to "notice" myself so i asked a friend. His answer was:

"People notice other people's faces first.... oh... and your boobs." Haha!

People tend to think i'm extremely quiet until you get to know me but it's just me taking stock and figuring out where i stand before getting to know you and scaring you witless! Ha!

Oh yeah, I'm also a hobbit. (except i don't have hairy feets lol!) - i am a shortarse though, 5'3"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
a) Geography of the heart: a memoir - by Fenton Johnson, anything by Martina Cole, Torey Hayden, Sidney Sheldon, James herbert, Terry Pratchett, Marian Keyes, Jeffery Archer (but only his short stories).... and i could go on and on and on
b) A Time To Kill, Battle Royale, Boy's Don't Cry, Family Guy: The Movie, Clerks, Mallrats, Clerks 2, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Reservoir Dogs, From Dusk til Dawn, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pan's Labyrinth, Hot Fuzz, Tod Browning's Freaks, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, Ice Age 1 & 2, The Magic Roundabout, Peeping Tom, Serial Mom, the list is utterly endless.....
c) Green Day, Nirvana, Dashboard Confessional, Letters To Cleo, White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Chili's, Muse, Placebo, Tenacious D, Three Doors Down, Four Star Mary, Juliette and The Licks, Imogen Heap/Frou Frou, Eva Cassidy, Whitney Houston, Three Days Grace, Oasis, The Offspring, Reel Big Fish, The Calling, Shakira, Celine Dion, Pink, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Lost Prophets, My Chemical Romance, Michael Jackson, Coheed and Cambria, Santana, Dragonforce, Marilyn Manson, Guns N Roses,Staind, a bit of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Aiden - i also like some dance, classical, trance and techno-opera (ok i only know one techno-opera track but it's ace!)
Basically i'll listen to anything once, if i like it it's added to my phone memory card (really need a bigger one of those!)
4)Bacon. Cheese. Chicken. In any combination haha!
Six things I could never do without
1) Music, festivals and gigs. No question.
2) My family (can't live with em....) - although they piss me off more than anything in the world!
3) My friends - piss me off second only to my family haha!
4) Sunshine. My mood seriously suffers without a lazy sunny afternoon once in a while. Lie on the grass, have a few drinks, some good tunes and chat/piss about with the people i love. Poifect!
5) Eyeliner. Yes i know it's pathetic and girly but i am slightly addicted to the stuff.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Things that confuse me. E.g - if this particular product is better and cheaper than the leading brand - why is it not the leading brand?

Thailand and South East Asia. This could be working out how to save the money to get there, planning the course i need to do to work over there or just general daydreaming about the beauty of the place, the culture and the people.

Wishing i had some form of talent or skill. Like being a really good artist/photographer/singer/actor/writer/director or even something useful! Hahaha!

Shoes. (Yeah, i know! Lol!)

Henry Cavill. I can't help it, I'm in love.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't really have a typical Friday night. I enjoy going out sometimes if i have the pennies. I like going to the cinema if there's something good on. Also i enjoy playing on my Xbox, watching a dvd or Netflix or curling up with a good book.
If plans allow, hanging out with friends either out and about or even sat in the living room just nattering.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In a drunken state i have dropped my keys, headbutted the front door whilst trying to retrieve said keys and ended up in a heap on the doorstep where my sister had to come to pick me up and let me in. I then proceeded to hold an entire conversation with a lamp.

On another drunken occassion i have led my semi-naked (fishnet vest, thong and shoes) friend Rachel round our Halls of Residence and to the shop on a dog lead.

Maybe i should stop getting drunk.... damn that rum!!

Oh yeah, and i'm scared of clowns..... stop laughing i'm serious!! I hate the evil bastards! *shudders* Not particularly fond of fish or horses either.
You should message me if
You want to. Not much point in doing it if you don't want to.

That is all. Lol.
