My self-summary
I'm a true product of Brooklyn, born and raised. I live to travel and am open to finding other cities/places that feel like home. I've spent a lot of time living in Italy, a place very dear to my heart. It's a bit of a love/hate affair (somewhat like NY). I'm a designer raised by designers and feel best when I'm creating.

Physical activity keeps me clear and grounded. Bikram yoga and summer lap swim at McCarren are my favorite routines; thanks to an awesome trainer...I can probably do more pushups than you. But nothing compares to hiking somewhere beautiful or hot, fun, sweaty dance party.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an art director / graphic designer of various expertise. I run my own freelance biz in between stretches of laziness. 'Thankfully' rent and health insurance keep me on my toes. I'm also new to teaching design. That DEFINITELY keeps me on my toes! And between all that; starting a ceramic jewelry business ... Striving to find a balance between working for money and work driven by passion.
I’m really good at
empathizing, brainstorming, composing space, speaking your language (or trying to), cooking a sweet meal from pasta to pie, starting dance parties!!
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm chill like that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love a great book more than anything esp. anything by Murakami, Vonnegut, Neal Stephenson or Gary Shteyngart. I get lost in sci fi and surrealism.

TV faves: The Wire, Sesame Street, Breaking Bad, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Game of Thrones, Thundercats (Ho!!), Louie...

Love love love music of all types especially if it's funky, soulful and sometimes minimal. I grew up on hip hop, bluegrass and classic rock. Some recent artists I dig: SBTRKT, The XX, Reggie Watts, Little Dragon, Nneka, Kishi Bashi, just got my mind blown by Bombino. Rebirth Brass Band forever! Fela and anything in the afrobeat vein brings on a serious attack of St. Vitus Dance.

Movies? I'm missing the indy spirit of the 90s / aughts. Gotta love Coen Bros, anything Charlie Kaufman, PT or Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Tod Solandz, Kubrick, Gondry, Miyazaki, Almodovar ...Fellini on a rainy day when I'm missing Italia.

Fully recovered from that silly college notion of vegetarianism. I love to eat good, regional food especially when traveling. I like to connect to where I am through the senses without limitation. I'm unashamed of loitering in the kitchens of friends with the culinary gift and love trying out new tricks on my own (especially when made from stuff I grew on my fire escape). My friend, "I love cooking for you because you look like you enjoy it so much!"
Six things I could never do without
Physical activity.
A project.
A trip to look forward to.
A variety of delicious foods at my disposal.
and, damn it, my computer.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I come from. Where I'm going.
On a typical Friday night I am
plotting, scheming, you know...
You should message me if
You're friendly, creative and adventurous in heart and mind.

You live in NYC. You're not just passing through and are looking for something more than a random hookup.
