Like many things, from roller skating, kayaking, sailing, and camping/road trips (I'm sort of a tom-boy) to the theater, opera, concerts (music and dance), art shows (I can rock a little black dress). Willing to try anything at least once. Zumba, dance classes, yoga/pilates are my stress relievers. Taking swing dance classes now and hope to learn how to salsa too. Tango anyone?
I'm told I look young for my age and I'm trying to believe it. I'm independent, adventurous, playful, curious and partially domesticated; perhaps eccentric. I've been called a "sexy bohemian".
Spending time with friends; good conversation over a glass of wine and walking all over the place in Florida, San Francisco, Scotland and even Cleveland is my favorite pastime. Walking from Pacific Heights over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito is one of my favorite SF hikes. Sailing the Bay would be awesome. I love streets and neighborhoods of cities as much as wooded trails and beachfront sunsets.
My ideal date would be someone who is a great communicator who can carry on a conversation; bonus points for a good storyteller. He would love good food, good wine, sunsets on the beach and winter days in the woods. Theater, art and music would be of interest to him and he may even write, paint or play music himself; an adventurer who loves to discover new places and things. I'm sure he's out there.....................some where.
I am not lonely, desperate or needy. I am perfectly capable of going to a movie, concert, the theater, out to dinner or even to Spain by myself. I am looking for someone with similar interests who wants to spend the time it takes to establish a relationship and to share the things we love with each other.
I'm NOT looking for casual sex or married men. I am not interested in tattoos, piercings, powerboats, motorcycles and anyone who is over weight. Do NOT message me if you think a date is making an appointment for sex. This is a DATING site, if you're looking for a hookup go to Tinder. If you're really only interested in emailing, texting, chatting online or talking on the phone, please look elsewhere. You can't tell anything about anyone until you meet them in person, so if you're really not interested in meeting please move on. I won't respond to any one not posting a picture. I don't believe in long distance relationships, so if you live far away I will thank you for your interest, but after that there will be no further response.
Zumba, dance classes, yoga/pilates, tai chi, working out; bicycling, kayaking, art shows and walks, the theater, film festivals and small music venues.....hanging around on beaches everywhere and whenever possible. Traveling as much as possible. And especially sailing, my greatest passion.
I'm a loyal and generous friend and love old people, children and small animals ;-).
You can count on me to keep a conversation going. I'm no wallflower. Love to smile and laugh and have a good time, but can also be quiet and introspective too.
I read around five books a week. Love mysteries (mindless fun), literature (Oates, Pynchon, DeLillo to name a few) and non-fiction, especially science. Subscribe to Archeology, Mental Floss and the Smithsonian.
Belong to the Cleveland Film Society and see as many films as possible during the Festival.
CDs currently in rotation: Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Eva Cassidy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ann Peeble--but Copeland's Clarinet Concerto could be on my player as well...........
Food....love all kinds: Thai, Indian, Chinese, all Asian really. Fine dining in a restaurant with great wine list is a good time.
